I wanted a nice Rustic Wooden French looking bowl for my new French Romantic Flower Centerpieces and these are sturdy, stunning, striking. I simply love them & they will work for the Holidays as well. The weight is amazing and the price is perfect for the size of these beautiful bowls

I really like the natural look of this bowl. I did expect an unfinished, unsealed bowl from the description on the listing. I wasn't expecting it to have chipping or peeling around the outside edge, as shown in my picture. It seems that this could have been sanded or smoothed out a little bit before shipping. But since I'm planning on using this as a decorative item, these small flaws are easy enough to hide, so I'm happy with it overall. It might make me hesitate to give it as a gift, though.

So I ordered this thinking it would make a pretty fruit bowl, and it may end up becoming that, but it will require some DIY for that to be the case. This is a raw piece, and while it is described as “natural” I wasn’t really expecting raw. The interior of the bowl is very rough and seems to only have been minimally sanded. The exterior of the bowl is more finely sanded, but still has multiple rough spots. If I try to clean this with a damp cloth, the cloth snags on the rough surface. I will likely resand it, and then use some sort of stain/sealer to protect the bowl and then use it for decor. It is a very versatile piece.I realize that as it is made of natural wood, every piece will be different, but I feel that the listing pics are much prettier than the bowl I received. There is a large dual vertical line down one side of my bowl (shown in my first pic) which looks man-made, but I’m not sure what it is. The second picture is the interior of the bowl in that same spot and I can’t tell if maybe some sort of filler was used to fill in a gap, but it takes away from the beauty of the bowl.For me, this is a 3 star product. It will take some work on my part to get it to a good condition, which isn’t what I expected when I ordered it.Rating system:5 stars: Can’t live without/perfect in every way4 stars: Good product, would order again, but maybe not something I HAVE to have.3 stars: Okay product; wouldn’t order again for various reasons.2 stars: Bad product; doesn’t work. Wouldn’t order again.1 star: What in the world was I thinking? This product is terrible. Run away!

Very nicely made. It looks fantastic with river rocks and faux succulents. I highly recommend this bowl.

Very nice bowl. I assumed it was not finished to a high standard and it's not. It has a fairly rough texture and appears to have just come off the lathe without any sanding. There are numerous flaws in the wood from its natural growth. These are not negatives and, to me, just make it more appealing. I'm sure it would not hold liquids but it's not being represented to. I think it makes a very nice artistic piece. The lighter picture indicates how it looks when received. The darker one is after a single coat of clear food grade mineral oil which really brings out the grain and the red veining of the wood. I use this as a fruit bowl and it’s absolutely beautiful. It looks great on my counter, it’s amazing quality!!

This is a BEAUTIFUL decorative wood bowl! I LOVE the look of the almost pedestal-like base. It has a very “rustic” vibe but blends well with a wide range of decor styles.LOVE it!
