Hanes Women's Cami with Built-in Shelf Bra, Stretch Cotton Camisole, Adjustable Straps

I really love these cami's! I have always been an A cup and have never really found a bra that fits me properly... mostly because they don't sell a 38-40 AA at any stores. I am a tall and broad woman. Luckily, due to my small breasts, I never have to wear a bra. I wear one of these things EVERY SINGLE DAY under my shirts. I also add in some rubber, reusable nipple pasties to take care of those cold moments, which you can also find on Amazon (they are washable). These cami's do the job in holding my small ladies in and providing me with a secure layer of fabric between my skin and my work blouses (which helps keep those more clean as well). I usually have two at a time that I rotate, a white one and a black one. I wear these all day, every day and wash them probably once to twice a week each on the delicate cycle. Yes, eventually the inseam will start to rip apart from the elastic, but I wouldn't expect anything different when I wear and wash them so frequently. For 11 bucks, you really can't beat 3-6 months of everyday use, which is typically how long one of these will last me. For the reviewers who are complaining that they fall apart and rip, try hand washing them or wash them on the delicate cycle. Understandably, these have very thin, soft, material and should be treated as such. If you wash them on a normal cycle, expect them to not last as long. I have never had a strap break and I have had three of these and plan to buy another one or two today. For daily wearers, the inseam/elastic will start to rip eventually... I guess that is the cost of wearing something so stretchy day in and day out. I've been looking for shelf tanks as I'm small on top (38C) and can skip bras with the right layers. I like to tuck a cami in to hide my pooch and avoid waistband digs. I don't wear camis solo, but visible under various tops: a shirt unbuttoned lower, sports tank, half-buttoned camisole, lower cut blouse or dress, or gauzy boho shirts. I ordered white & lavender, medium (I'm 5'8", usually size medium or 10 if form-fitting) Though the lavender is pretty, I was really annoyed when they arrived - they seemed far too small to wear tucked in which was why I bought them. Then I tried one on. WOW - cool cotton with a plenty of stretch (easily tuckable) but not modal or Spanx-like. VERY COMFORTABLE. I'm here now getting more colors. I'm glad I bought Hanes - so many of the other camis are from overseas companies with no reputation for quality, material, etc.. These wash well - I line dry because it's easier & cheaper and they dry quickly. I wear them often and they still look brand new, no shrinking even with the occasional dryer use. The medium is really for size 36 bra and lower, and the elastic isn't covered. I'm going to get the large to see if it's better. Right now, I just fold the elastic up over the shelf bra and it's much more comfortable. Hanes should cover the elastic though.

These seem to be harder to find, so I was excited to try it. It is very soft, comfortable, and not too tight around torso and waist. The shelf bra liner is wonderful. I like that the bottom does not ride up. I wear these under all my shirts and the bottom stays down over my hips (sometimes will pop off but that is to be expected). The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the straps are a bit long (there's more cotton on the strap than the thin black elastic part with the plastic slider). Not so long I didn't buy another one, but I had to put them all the way tight, which is great for a while until you wear it long enough they get stretched out before the next wash. I had hoped it would shrink up the straps when I put in the dryer but it didn't. Not a deal breaker for me, but I will say that because of this, the bra part can ride down to wear my cleavage hangs out. I am 5'8", 125 pds, and am a large 34C. Maybe if you have a bigger frame and boobs the straps will be perfect for you.

I bought two black camis. The two of them arrived on the same day, but in separate packages. One was sent with some Hanes underwear i also purchased, the other was sent in a separate package with a navy blue cami of the same size. (Weird. I did not order the blue one.) The two black camis are the same size, have the same logo on the tag, except one is made in Indonesia and the other made in Guatemala. AND they fit differently and are made of different fabric. The one from Indonesia fits exactly as I would expect—soft, stretchy, supportive—and I still had room to shorten or lengthen the straps if I wanted to. The Guatemala cami is made of stiffer fabric, making the shelf bra not so comfy, and the straps are stupidly long. They were already adjusted to the shortest length when I tried it on and yet they were so loose. Barely stayed on my shoulders. My girls just floppin around. It was a bad look. The navy blue one was also made in Indonesia and was of the same, better, quality as the Indonesian black cami. So in the end i got some of what i wanted, i guess, but only because someone made a mistake.

Bought this for layering under sweaters and wearing around the house. Perfect for casual wear and sleep, but look at Fruit of the Loom Built-in Bra Cami if you want more stretch or bust coverage.

I was so excited to find a shelf bra that would fit a big bust (ordered 2XL, I'm a 42D bra), and am so disappointed in the product I got. The width is fine, but it's so short and I have a short torso so I don't understand how it barely touches my waistband of my pants. And the neckline? it's laughable how this thing looks on, it's as if the shirt was given more width everywhere but in the neckline and straps. The straps are excessively long even after trying to shorten them (it does have adjustable straps but the length they give you to adjust is such a small amount it's pointless). So I put this thing on and the straps aren't sitting on my shoulders they're up by my neck, the actual neckline area was narrow and small, like they didn't compensate for needing to widen that part in the larger sizes. I looked like a busty girl trying to put on size small shirt. My boobs were popping out the side and the side boob area was stretched out while the neckline was this tiny bit of fabric that sat in the middle of the chest. The proportions are either WAY OFF or they sent me someone elses stretched out return. I thought I could manage to wear it under a t shirt but I can't, this shirt will end up in the trash or donation pile, I'm NOT sending it back so they can send it to someone else and have someone else have this crappy experience. Side Note: I love leaving great reviews and rarely leave bad ones but this is one of those times I felt it necessary to give my busty plus size gals a heads up. This shirt ain't it sis!

The elusive, perfect, bra-shelf cami is so hard to find, especially after being spoiled by Costco's, which they no longer sell. (Would love to know why since it caused quite an uproar.) I have purchased five or six "close" replacements, but always seem to have one complaint or another about each one. I was happy with this one the moment I put it on. I'm pretty picky [whiny] about camis. I have reflux, so the elastic cannot bind too tight. Check! I like the heartier cotton that this one is made of. Check! I like the quality adjustable straps. Check! I'm 5'8" and weigh 154 lbs. I ordered an XL because, although I'm not that well endowed (and gravity is NOT my friend), I have sort of a wide rib cage and a bit of a Goodyear tire situation happening around my middle! Miraculously, this one fit perfectly. And since it's cotton, I chose to get the XL in case it shrinks in the wash. The downside of the comfortable-but-not-too-tight elastic band is that it doesn't quite lift the girls as well as some of my other ones. I've tightened the straps in hopes I'd get a little more ooomph, but you can't have it all! And I personally like the longer length - not too long, but not too short. My other camis are made of flimsier fabric. At this time of year (winter), and living on the East Coast, this cotton cami is warm and cozy. And it's just thick enough that I'd be comfortable wearing it alone and not just as an undergarment. You probably won't catch me doing that since - when I wave - the flab under my arms waves back at me. But it's nice to know I could lounge around the privacy of my home in it.

I LOVE these tanks. I only wish there were more colors. I got the teal first. Love the color. Then I realized that due to the perfect thick of the material that I could prob manage a white with no see thru issues. And I was right!! I have small boobs and a skinny torso and I can easily wear this with no bra. I’m not a tiny person. 5’8” and 180 lbs and a size L was perfect. I could go M but I’m over things fitting tightly in my life. Also…it’s not a form fitting under shirt type material. It’s a stand alone situation. And I saw others say it’s not a long tank…. It’s not. It’s perfect length for just wearing. Not too weirdly long. Nowhere near too short. I want more and will prob order every color. Why Is this built in bra tank so hard to come by anymore??

Excellent quality, great fit, great for when you do not want to wear a bra - the darker colours are better for disguising you are braless!

THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. MY FRIEND WANTED A CAMISOLE TOP WITH A BRA INSERT OF MOSTLY COTTON THAT SHE COULD ALSO WEAR AS A TOP SOMETIMES. THIS LOOKED TO BE PERFECT, SO MUCH SO THAT I ORDERED 2 FOR MYSELF AS WELL. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THEM. WHEN SHE OPENED THEM CHRISTMAS DAY SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM. THEY FIT WELL, ARE SOFT AND COMFORTABLE, ARE LONG TO COVER YOUR LOWER BACK WHEN BENDING AND LOOK AND FEEL GOOD WHEN ON. I WILL BE ORDERING MORE IN OTHER COLOURS SOON. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM. DIANE B.

I received top today and I love it. I’m 5ft 6 and it sits halfway on bum. I’m a funny size but mostly 14 in trousers and 16 - 18 in tops (depending on where I shop) I bought an XL and although it fits lovely I have ordered 2 more in L as I would like them to be a bit more fitted. Lovely material and very comfortable especially when we’re spending most time indoors due to current circumstances in the world. Definitely recommend.
