When you place this heater into an existing fireplace, you’ll love watching the dancing flames project onto the back of the hearth. Realistic log set and ember bed sit in a black finished fire grate and feature a rolling flame effect that works with or without heat, so you can have the ambiance of a real fire all year long, even during warmer months. When the heat is on, it provides supplemental heat for spaces up to 1,000 square feet to help you save money, and can be controlled from anywhere in the room using the included remote control. The infrared heat doesn’t reduce the natural humidity within the air, for comfortable heat that won’t dry out the room or contribute to static electricity. Control the log set from anywhere in the room using the included multi-function remote control. No hookups or vents are required for this electric log set. Simply plug it in and enjoy. Pros and cons of each please. I don't know what infered** A: From my understanding, infrared is 40% more efficient and heats faster (covering more sf as a result). However, the heat is direct and thus dissipates just as fast. Conventional heats the air unlike infrared and is supposed to last longer after the heater is off. Conventional also dehumidifies as a result. Not sure the extent to which all that is true with this specific product... I have the conventional one but not this one so can't compare. ## Frequently Bought Together - duraflame Electric Log Set 1,000 Sq Ft Heater, Faux Logs Insert with Infrared Flames for Existing Fireplaces, Remote Control Included - FIRMERST 1875W 6 Feet 15A Low Profile Flat Plug Extension Cord 14 AWG Black - FIRMERST 1875W 10ft Flat Plug Extension Cord 14 AWG Black 15A --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/606049447-duraflame-dfi030aru-infrared-quartz-set-heater-with-realistic-ember-bed](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/606049447-duraflame-dfi030aru-infrared-quartz-set-heater-with-realistic-ember-bed) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
