I cook the whole box in a broth with onion & mushrooms...until they are almost done but not quite. I take out what I will be freezing along with half the onions and mushrooms, putting in a freezer bag when cooled. These are not cooked completely! I add the 'goodies' (sauces, grape tomatoes, fresh spinach, etc) before I freeze so I can pop in the microwave or drop in boiling water to thaw and finish cooking. I have also fully Cooke and frozen the leftovers and they are great. Barilla pastas are the only ones I do this with cause they hold up best.. **Q: Are these gluten free?** A: I personally do not purchase gluten free products, that I am aware of. My choice is the Barilla Products because they are above the rest. I do know they make gluten-free but I buy the regular products myself.
