Not great
Great recipes but only giving 2 starts because it's in black and white so can't get a feel for the puddings. Not great but can't really moan for the price

Simple ideas
Have not made any yet but have bought the Kilner jars. Pity there are not coloured photographs. However my young grandsons and I will have fun making one or two as gifts for their parents.

Wonderful recipes!
This is a remarkable cookbook, containing everything from precise ingredient amounts, cooking instructions, helpful tips, recipes for glazes, and free digital access to label making programs. I love Bonnie Scott - she keeps me happy in my kitchen. When I first began collecting various recipes for goodies stuffed in jars, it was strictly ingredients and I loved them for gifts - add the appropriate dried ingredients to a pint or quart canning jar, top and label, and gift a chocolate cake to an unhappy neighbor or your best friends bad day. They, in turn, would add liquid ingredients, mix, bake, and enjoy. Bonnie Scott goes a whole other route - bake the cake in a jar and the recipient just opens the jar and enjoys. I don't know why it took so long for this to come about, but I love it. Unfortunately, I am usually the recipient of this style of her talented offerings. So today is a 'bad' day for me, as well... But fat and happy is not always a bad thing...This excellent how-to book from Bonnie Scott has really made my week! Thank you.

Yum!
There is nothing low calorie about these so if you seek low calories, move along. Nothing to see here.If you are seeking big taste in small jars, you found it. These recipes are easy to make and bake in serving sized portions. Recipes are well written and easy to follow. My favorite section is the flavored whip creams. Those are right up my alley and I will be making a few cakes with flavored whip cream as icing. Lots of cakes to choose from, trifles, etc... Make them fancy or simple, the choice is yours. Bake them for home use or give them as gifts. (This book included would be a special gift for a baker!)When baking in jar, remember, glass shatters. Hot jars out of the oven that are touched with something cold can explode. Handle hot jars with extra care, do not bump or brush them against surfaces or touch them with utensils. Handle with pot holders. Sit them on fabric, not directly on the counter or the stove to reduce the risk of shattering.

Totally Amazing Recipes!!
Desserts in Jars totally rock!!! I am totally amazed at all the desserts that can be created in jars. My family love dessert and I cannot wait to try every recipe out on them. The recipes are perfect for summer, birthdays, holidays or any time of the year. I can't wait to get started with my very first recipe. What I really like most about the recipes is they are easy to prepare. The recipes do not call for anything that I would not normally purchase or already have in my kitchen. Also, the recipes all seem non-messy now that is something that I really love!! :-) I am not a great baker and with these recipes I don't feel I have to be. I just love them all!!! I just cannot stress that enough. Who would have thought of creating desserts in a jar, absolutely remarkable creativity? The book is a definitely must have for any kitchen. The book also makes a perfect gift for someone who loves making desserts. Great purchase...extremely pleased!!!

GREAT IDEA FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO HAVE A DESSERT ON HAND AT ALL TIMES
This book was bought for our daughter, who is a working Mom of three children all under the age of 11. She was delighted with the recipes and the fact that many of them could have the ingredients put into the jars and then finished and baked when she needed something for dessert of for company when time was in short supply. But, it turned out that she gave the book back to me and asked ME to whip up some of the jars for her pantry and then each week or so, I fix up some of the perishable recipes for her to finish and serve after one of her long and busy days at work. We have loved the apple crisp and I find that the molten lava cakes are great as if it weren't for the restriction of only ONE jar I would have eaten a lot more, but with this method you have more control. So far everything we made went over well with most of us, but there are no pumpkin loves in this family so those recipes will not be made, but just about all the others will be tried. I found a few dozen canning jars on sale at the end of summer to use for these make-ahead desserts so I will have plenty available when some are made up in advance, which is a big plus with these recipes in jars.I would think that there is "something for everyone' for recipes in this nice book. It would make a nice gift for someone who is always on the go and working as they can have these all ready to bake with the addition of a last minute ingredient or two when time is so short for them.I would recommend this for anyone with kids and even better for picky kids as eating out of a jar is fun no matter what your age, but would appeal to kids as we have found out in our family. And some of the recipes can be made with some of your personal touches and varying the ingredients if you don't like or want something in particular in the jar.It is fun to make and bake or make and serve this way if not easy for you if made up when you have more time and then finished when you are rushed for time.Cynthia.

Delightful easy recipes
One of my favorite peeves is no pics in a cookbook. This cookbook does not have a pic for each recipe (ideal) but it does have a lot of pics. All of the recipes are easy enough for a novice cook to prepare and many of them are delicious but also figure friendly. I especially like the no bake cheesecake recipes even though I pride myself on my killer cheesecakes that are baked, sometimes it is nice to make a quicky especially if you end up with last minute uninvited company. Kudos to the author for being professional. The reviewer is the author of the KIindle book entitled: Sex Education for AdultsSecrets To Amazing Sex and Happily Ever After Too

I am glad I got this for my cookbook collection.
I do not usually review a cookbook, but this one is so cool. I tried some of the recipes and they turned out great and were a great hit with the grandkids. The book also has some great ideas and tips. There both bake and no-bake goodies. I am looking forward to trying the no–bake cheesecake. I am glad I got this for my cookbook collection.

Making Individual Gifts Quickly
This book is very good and useful. Most of the "in jars" cookbooks I find are for the ingredients to go in a jar and be used as a gift. This book tells how to make individual desserts to use as gifts or at any kind of shindig from a covered dish dinner to a wedding reception. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to cook unusual gifts.

Oh, yum, yum yum...
Fancy desserts that are easy to make. Terrific idea for parties like birthday or shower and the recipes are tasty. Craft stores have the jars and etching kits so they can be personalized. Parfaits, torts and cold souffles rule!

This is a terrific little dessert cookbook, if you have any allergies to foods there are plenty of different recipes you are sure to find one that will work for your family. There are egg free and milk free recipes, mostly quick and easy to prepare. This cookbook will be a good one to keep on your kindle for years to come.

Cute book and cute desserts
I love this idea especially for entertaining. You can tell that this book is self published. The photos are amateur, but they are not terrible. It's 2019, and every recipe in a cookbook should have a photo.
