A most interesting book for the serious gamer or just the curious
ZELDA - The History of a Legendary Saga - N. Courcier & M. El Kanafi (video game guide - 01-25-2020 - review #0864] This handsome hardbound book is a serious and considerate analysis of many aspects of the history of the Nintendo's long running flagship game series - The Legend of Zelda. The text is knowledgeable and speaks with deference to those who may believe, or wish too, that the games of Zelda, Link and Ganon are coded with myth and meaning beyond obvious entertainment values. There are not pictures, drawings of charts in this book. A very few I believe would of been helpful. A most interesting book for the serious gamer or just the curious - recommended.

AMAZING BOOK!!
Unbelievable book. Extremely well written and the flow from game to game is nice. I collect Zelda literature and it is a staple. I don't read books at all but this one had me going. First book I've finished in years. Can't blame them for not having breath of the wild in it. Once you write a book it takes years to get it finished. It's nice they are writing a whole book devoted to breath of the wild. Great connections to mythology and underlying themes throughout the series. AMAZING!!

Underwhelming essay on the Legend of Zelda series
This book has absolutely no images. It is essentially a 200+ page essay on the evolution of the Legend of Zelda series from beginning to Skyward Sword. Obviously it is not authorised by Nintendo. The book itself is also very small (I know the dimensions were in the Amazon listing, but I was expecting something like the Piggy Back or Dark Horse editions). It is an okay read if you were expecting the essay format, but underwhelming if you were expecting more.
