Easy to connect and use

I bought this to use in situations where straight on, screw on compressor hoses might be a tight fit.I used to keep a cigarette lighter plug air compressor in my car for emergencies. Now I carry around a Ryobi or Milwaukee battery powered one.Traditionally, small compressors like these came with a similar right angle clamp end with a plastic clamp lever. Those were convenient, but often failed. Newer models have started shipping with a screw on female schraeder which is more reliable, but often inconvenient and sometimes less able to fit where you need it.This product lets you adapt the newer hoses into something more like the older hoses, but with a metal arm and a release valve. You might also be able to adapt it as a replacement for a broken plastic one but I think there may be barbed versions that would be better for that use.These seem reasonably well made. The release valve appears to be brass. They probably would not survive getting run over by a car, but should last for a while if you keep them in a car console or toolbox.

I have two mini pumps for emergencies for my cars. But both kits were a straight screw on fitting. So when you pumoped them up... to take off you had to screw off and you would lose a bunch of air that you just pumped in screwing off.So these quick connects were a perfect solution. Honeslty do not know why they would design them with a screw on fitting only.They fit perfect with the thread size and pattern for both of my pumps. And they are both different style and brand pumps. So it is just a standard fitting.Now I do not have to worry about losing my air or settting the setting higher just to compensate for air that was going to get lost when disconnecting.They are also made a a decent thick metal. Not some cheesy thin metal. I definitely recommend

My fault, I should have looked closely. This chuck is for Shrader valves only, not compatible with Presta.

The inlet of these air chucks is the exact size as a tire valve, so you can screw on the air hose to it. The chuck works smoothly, is easy to attach to the valve stem and makes an air tight hands free seal. Virtually no air is lost when removing it. It is so much nicer than the screw on connector that came with my cordless air compressor.

Last year, I got a new tire inflator. It works well. It had all the features I needed except one. I didn’t notice when I ordered it that it did not come with a quick-release end. You have to screw the hose on and off. It is a little annoying thing that made not like that tire compressor. Well, this little device saves the day! I think it is a great idea.

One already broke with minor use. Metal that was used is very poor quality.
