This is perfect, but REQUIRES the X1002 bottom Hat to work
This thing works perfectly with all holes aligned and the screws are the correct size. The case is very sturdy as well. I appreciate the screw design. the Gauge/thickness of the metal is good as well.I am writing this review because I think the other reviews were missing the obvious. That this is a case specifically designed for geekworm X1002 bottom Hat. You also need a lower power m.2, but this is known to anyone looking at specification before you buy something. The m.2 you use with a r pi5 doesn't need a cooler, let alone one that won't fit in this case. You CAN have an m.2 heatsink, but not a large one.If you get the bottom hat, then everything falls into place. Geekworm really should have included some better pictures and noted that the x1002 is required in the description.

Can't use it.
I have 2 pi 5s with the geekworm nvme boards(Under mount) the problem is the cable they give you is so sensitive that when you mount it in the case you lose connection to the nvme and it doesn't boot. It needs some sort of bump out to accommodate the cable. It's a serious design flaw. Never mind the funky cable design that'll be in my other review. If you're using an nvme drive you don't really need the ready access to the SD card which is why there's so little room for that cable, maybe a little hatch or something for when you inevitability lose the stupid thing in there. If you know you know.

It's great if you don't plan to use Bluetooth or Wifi
I had seen some other reviews that worried over heat buildup on the NVMe in the bottom of the case. I monitored the heat on the Crucial P3 that I was using and it didn't seem to be an issue. If you are looking for a case solution for a Wired unit and wireless stuff is not in your plans, then this is a five star case. If you need bluetooth or wifi, then only one star. I have some bluetooth headsets that work great with the Pi out of the case but useless when the Pi is all boxed up inside the metal casing.

Works with the Pimorni NVME Base
Sturdy little metal case. Works well with the Pimoroni NVME base. I haven't tried the Geekworm X1002, but the Geekworm base probably fits a little better. While you can get the Pimoroni base in this case, you will need to use the hardware from Geekworm to get it to fit. I also had to insert the PI 5 by hinging in the board so that the USBC power and mini HDMI connectors would seat properly. The Pi power button is recessed and misaligned, so, you will have to use a paper clip or sharp object to press the power button. The Pimoroni base, must be slightly thicker. But, work this case works well for me. I'm diggin' it.

Unusable with x1002 hat
Case touches the ribbon cable for the NVME and it won't boot. Geekworm suggested using electrical tape to ensure cable doesn't touch case but this didn't work. The cable gets pushed when in the case and the drive doesn't work.

Extremely easy to assemble
four phillips screws to attach the pi to the case, four phillips screws to attach the standoffs to the pi, and four phillips screws to attach the case lid to the case. Easy install. This case fits the rpi 5 with the official active cooler and the geekworm/suptronics 1002 nvme bottom perfectly.I've used many a raspberry pi case and this is by far the easiest assembly I've seen.

Should only be sold as a set with the X1002
I got this with the intent of buying the X1002 PCIe to M.2 HAT at a later date, which was partially a mistake on my part, but everything implied that it would work without the X1002, which is not the case. The SD card opening is too small to be useful. You will have to disassemble the case to replace the SD card. You’ll be able to get it out, but good luck getting it back in.In my opinion this should only be sold as a set with the x1002 or add a set of standoffs so it can be used without the x1002.
