Easy read- strong story, light harem elements
I like these when they are done with strong story, enjoyable characters, and the harem elements are light and flow with the story

Fast moving adventure!
Nice guys don't finish last in this series. If you do good work you get ahead quickly. Fast paced, good characters with good imagination and a great companion! Can't wait for the next book.

Story is fun, premise is a little shaky
So, you've got your portal guardian fighting monsters to work off humanity's sins so they can rejoin the nexus... and get forced to fight monsters as their higher technological progress is stripped away? Why would they even want that? Especially when it keeps showing their food, entertainment, facilities, etc., are all superior to the other worlds. It seems... dumb. I can get changing out modern materials when entering a medieval level world to prevent people recognizing the hero is from his world, but talking about stripping away modern tech and weapons from a world that put in the legwork to invent them just so they can merge into a system of backwards worlds stuck in a medieval development state? Which would require CHANGING THE LAWS OF PHYSICS just to spite their effort and make it so they don't work anymore? Seriously? It would make infinitely more sense if the worlds with magic used their magic to develop properly, make an Asgard style world where magic and science were one, so there were an actual benefit involved. But as it is, where somehow having magic made everyone give up on developing technology while also not really using magic except mainly to fight the monsters that our world doesn't have to?While I enjoy it for the escapism that it is, being fond of the western fantasy isekai world setting, the idea behind why he's doing what he's doing could really use some work, as right now he almost seems like a villain, living out his geek wet dream at the expense of the comfort and safety of millions in the future.(And no, the assurance that humanity would just blow itself up if he didn't as an excuse doesn't really fly. Technophobes have been slogging that around since technology was a thing. Humans might be destructive but they're also adaptable survivors. While it's entirely probable that different nations will rise and fall and rage about, that's just how history works. Things shift, things change, we work around them and move on. )

Very good book
This is a fine fantasy harem adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like the Dire Wolf. I anxiously await the sequel.

I'm not a gamer, but...
I can get past the gamer speak and the points garbage, and I still get the concept because it's a good fantasy story. Great job!

Isekai adventure story
This is clearly an isekai portal adventure story. The overall pacing is moderate to slow. It leans toward slice of life with plenty of action.A solid reading possibilty for fans of the genre. Especially if you prefer the characters and their interactions over an over-arcing adventure. Not that this doesn't deliver on the genre standard adventuring. There were slightly more internal inconsistancies than the first book but nothing to worry about. It was on the level that you would find with most other authors. Most could be explained away with a few sentences here or there and don't pull you out of the story. I woudn't even say anything except I took special note.

Lots of Action
Action, adventure, intrigue aplenty. Our action heroes seem to stumble into lots of stuff while leveling up and even taking time to do some homemaking

I'm hoping this is a good enough review for both the first and second books
I will say that I love the balance between both worlds. It's neat to see characters from a different world than ours look at ours with amazement and a desire to enjoy the things that we do. I'm using this review for both books because I enjoyed the first one so much that I hurried up to read this one without leaving a review. This is an excellent book series with an awesome cliffhanger at the end. I'm looking forward to the next book!

Fun read
This was a nice continuation to the series. If you liked the first book then this is more of the same but with more character growth and expanded story.
