Great ink!
Using a paper that isn’t rice paper and having a difficult time getting it to be thick enough. This is it!! Love it!

Best to be used with raw paper to see the beauty.
The beautiful, smooth ink effect can be appreciated best on raw paper. I will try on landscape drawing next. I think the thickness will allow for more shades of grey......

Yes its really, really black.
They advertised Super Thick Liquid Black and it is. Also good at getting a very broad range of values. I should get a lot of use from this bottle due to its size.

Excellent quality
I practice Chinese calligraphy and have used many brands of sumi ink. This is one of the best. This ink has a rich, black look and covers easily, though if you like you can dilute slightly and find even more grey, black tones. The bottle is huge so you're getting a very good value for the money. This ink has, like many, a slight aroma that is traditionally added to inks. I find it pleasant. Highly recommend.

Deep Black Water Soluble
This is water-soluble and runs if you are using it with watercolors, but it is a wonderful ink with deep blacks.

Smell’s awful
The scent of ink is one of the pleasures of calligraphy, but I've never encountered ink with such a strong, unpleasant odor. It was a waste, but I had to discard it.
