Good for non-qwerty users!
This keyboard implements the equals key and the parentheses by typing out the ascii codes, instead of sending ordinary keypresses that assume a qwerty layout. This makes those keys work correctly for non-qwerty keyboard layout users!Physical design: The individual key switches are also socketed, which was a pleasant surprise! It made switch replacement easy and a no-soldering operation. They also built this keyboard with a thin foam pad under the key switches, and a thick foam pad between the key switch frame and the PCB, which makes the whole thing very quiet, when using quiet switches.Small gripe: I do wish the F13-F15 keys would work on PC (by holding the FN key), but unfortunately they don't. It appears instead that the F13-F15 keys are only F13-F15 on a mac. On PC, F13-F24 make for great macro triggers (yes these keys are defined but are rarely seen on real keyboards).Another small gripe: the backlight is fairly useless, since the keys aren't transparent. I just turned it off. The FN key on the keyboard is only relevant to backlight settings and once you have the backlight set up, it becomes effectively an unused key.I am still very pleased overall. The keyboard feels right, it's quiet, and the equals key actually cooperates with my dvorak keyboard layout, unlike my previous 10-key keypad.

Nice Feel and Sound - Takes some time to get used to
I use a split keyboard and have this in the middle of the two keyboards. Due to the slight upwards angle it took some time to get used to. I was mis-keying a bunch when I first got it. But after a week or so, you get used to it. Easy to move around the desk too. It is a little on the bigger side, but I have a lot of desk real estate to work with.

Pretty good . . . but . . .
This Number pad does a great job overall.Let me start with the 'but' part. Like some have mentioned, occasionally the keys will duplicate. I'm not sure what the exact cause is but be aware if you are buying this as an accountant or similarly high number-volume application, this might not work well for you.Putting that aside . . .The keys-strike is smooth, quiet, and comfortable. The keys are very stable.I don't use the backlight very often; however, the lighting is soft white and shows at the base of the key (not through the key). There are several effects that you can choose from. Most of the effects are more fun than practical. But it's a nice feature just the same.I love the extra keys that are included. For example, B.A.C.K.S.P.A.C.E!!!!! I say it like that because I've always hated having to use two hands to correct an error when entering numbers. . .Your '(', ')', '=', and a calculator macro button are standard on this model. Game changer!Overall, I recommend this number pad for common use.

Smooth and Sturdy
Was looking to get a mechanical numeric keypad, prior to transitioning to a mechanical keyboard. Ordered this based on availability of Linear switches - had not tried them previously, but I figured I might like them better. Boy do I ever!Package arrived quickly (next day), and I was surprised at out compact it is. And heavy! This thing feelssubstantial - you can place it on your desk and not expect it to move easily. It will be where you want it, when you want it.The linear keys were a blessing as well! Love how they move and sound! There is also a configurable white light (no RGB), which is clean and stylish.Only problem is the lack of programmability. I was hoping that I could configure the F13/15/15 keys, because I have a use case for such, but no such luck. The keypad configures itself to either MacOS or Windows for those 3 buttons. But bonus - the calculator function (I am using on Windows) was one of my use cases!Overall - pluses: compact, sturdy, feels rugged and like it can take some abuse, stylish and smooth, comfortable keystrokes. Minuses: not programmable, no RGB lights. The only thing I would trade this for is a fully programmable keypad / macro board, which is more than twice the price. Really good product, especially for the price!
