Excellent set - poor packaging
For fans of the Vera series - or Newcastle and Northumberland come to that - this is a great set. Each episode of Vera was made to feature film length and there are four in each series. Quality of production of this set, as expected from ITV, is excellent.Knocked one star not for the DVDs, but for the abysmal packaging. The 8 DVDs are stacked in pairs in the case - but the spindles on which they are mounted do not hold them well, so you can expect some to fall out when the case is opened. There are no notes at all, either on the case or on each DVD, to give you any more information regarding what episode can be found where, or even the name of the episodes. All you are given is the series that each DVD contains.I downloaded a list of episodes from IMDB and tucked a printed copy into the case for reference, but you would have thought this is a basic requirement and should have been included. Poor show.

Parcel arrived on time and well packaged the dvd is just what I ordered excellent viewing

Great series, love them all!
It's great to have them all together, however, apart from the first series, you don't know which episodes are where, as they are not labeled. So, it's basically pot luck!!

Cracking series for those who like investigative drama with dry wit and humour
Vera is a wonderful investigative series that I adore. Her mannerisms make me laugh (even when I probably shouldn’t) and her theories are easy to follow. A good series if you like Lewis, Frost, Morse, Midsommer Murders etc. It is a series that you can just put on any time.

Who doesn't love Vera.
Was a birthday present for husband. He loves the series. He started with series 1 episode1 and is thoroughly enjoying going all through them again. Great value as all 8 series at such a reasonable price. Only place we found that sells these in one set.
