My family has been collecting LEGO sets for years, and this one was a huge hit in our house. The LEGO Star Wars: A New Hope – Boarding the Tantive IV set instantly became one of our favorites. My son Aaron is obsessed with Star Wars, so when he opened this set he was beyond excited. The scene from A New Hope where Darth Vader and the stormtroopers board the Tantive IV is such an iconic moment, and LEGO did a great job bringing it to life. The details are awesome, the minifigures look fantastic, and the build itself was really fun. Aaron had a blast putting it together and then immediately started re-creating the battle scenes over and over again. If you know LEGO kids, you know the real fun starts after the build when the imagination kicks in. Like most LEGO sets, the instructions are clear and the quality is exactly what you’d expect. If you’re a Star Wars fan or have a kid who loves Star Wars like Aaron does, this set is definitely worth adding to the collection. We’ve been collecting LEGO for years, and it’s always great when a set comes along that gets the kids this excited about building and playing.

I bought it a little whimsically, seeing it on sale. I’m not usually into dioramas but this set struck a chord with me and I thought it might be a sufficient enough bargain. It was indeed a bargain. It’s remarkably good. There are flaws, like Darth Vader being kinda hard with lightsaber if you place all the troops in the locations, but these are minute things compared to the set as a whole. It was not only a fun build, utilizing interesting techniques, but it just looks so good. It feels robust too, and not too small at least for the discounted price. It’s honestly made me rethink about dioramas, that’s how good it is. The mini-figures are quite good (though I’m no aficianado, haven’t been in a minute), but they’re all detailed and really cool. The Fives figure definitely sweetens the whole thing I’ll have to admit. They clearly put in a lot of effort and thought into this set. Get it on sale while you can if you’re interested in LEGOs and /or Star Wars.

Lego always good gift

Very amazing build, easy to follow, has lots of nostalgia while building. Is a well rounded product to buy for yourself or as a gift. The secret is to buy two and then connect them so you have a full scene you can recreate from the movie. No missing pieces upon arrival. Size is reasonable

Seriously though, I love LEGO and have been collecting the Star Wars sets since they started making them in 1999. I love seeing the evolution of the character design and set designs since then. This set has some action, including a sliding door that's got a hole blasted through it, little switches to bounce the figures as if taken out with blaster fire, and a bunch of great mini figs. The value on this set one of the best for everything you're getting with it too. It looks awesome next to my trash compactor diorama and Tantive IV model ❤️ I would really love a diorama of Leia giving R2 the plans that I could put next to it. I might just have to design that myself though.

This is such an excellent little set. Amazon had a sale for this item and I could not refuse the opportunity to pick up such a classic scene from A New Hope. The minifigures are great and the play elements in the set are really fun. You can activate switches to send troopers flying l, and there is a piece that allows you to re-enact Vader holding one of the rebels up in the air. Overall this is a fantastic set for both display and play.

I got it for a cheap price compared to what Lego sells it for. It is so nice and it has amazing play features! It is a great balance between a display set and a play set! The characters are what you are expecting them to be. Five was a great figure to include in there. From the set we also get Darth Vader with great arm printing and, under is helmet, his iconic pale head. I recommand buying it!

For £40 you get a pretty cool diorama of a very memorable scene, as well as some good minifigures. There's a mechanism to open the door and make it look as though it's been blasted open, and some levers to knock over minifigures.
