UV Bird Alert Collision Window Decals

As a retired primary teacher, I have lots of experience with "clings". These are fantastic! Went on easily. I cleaned the windows first and applied them. (However the directions have you place in warm water first.) I did not see the directions but my clings have stayed up wonderfully. No curling, no letting go as the weather has varied since I put them up. Even my cat, a master at removing any cling within his paw grasp, could not remove them!!!!! These clings are also great for keeping the birds from flying into our 11th floor windows. They are not childish looking, but very unobtrusive and attractively decorative.

In our home, we know very well the sound of hummingbird beaks crashing into our kitchen window. They regularly engage in dramatic hummingbird wars & high speed chases in our backyard. (There’s plenty of nectar for everyone, man. it will always be fresh and it will never run out. Why so savage, my pets?) Once in a while, when they fly into the window, they get the wind knocked out of them and are able to fly away again after resting for some time. But after that last one... he wasn’t able to fly away again and suffered a slow death... we knew we had to do something about it. We purchased these decals for the kitchen window about 3 1/2 months ago and I can happily report that we haven’t heard one tap or crash against the window since then. They really work! I wouldn’t say that I would have chosen a decal theme for the kitchen window if only considering decor. It seems kind of 1970s to me. But more importantly, they do the job and seem to signal the birds to retreat during battle & change course away from the window. Probably saved a few concussions and maybe even lives. Very glad we bought them.Follow up to original review after reading some of the other reviews on this product: I did not experience any problems with these decals falling off of the window or not sticking as they should.

Installed these a couple of months ago. So far, no birds hitting the window. It had only happened once before that (Our first year in this house) but we created an herb and flower garden with bird feeders just a few feet from these windows, so wanted to ensure no fatalities! Installation reasonable. Visual minimal.

The application is very easy. They stay in place well. They did deter the robin that was attacking our glass but did not stop the strikes completely. The birds still sat on the windowsills and left lots of bird feces behind. I was hoping that this product would prevent that but does not.

I have used these for over 6 months and they work great. No more bangs on the windows and no more dead birds near my house. The clings are white from my view inside so they are more noticeable than I expected, but I like the designs and how I arranged them so I am okay with that. (I like the butterfly and rose ones but not the owl.) When people ask what that is all about it gives me a change to advocate for birds and encourage them to also buy decals if they have the same issue. None of them have fallen off. This is a very good product.

They didn't work all the way. but they did stop most of the attacking of our windows. I would have liked more color in them too.

At first I was really looking forward to getting these decals up because we have birds hit the windows and die or are stunned so bad it is hard to watch this happen. I applied the decals on all the windows. We waited to see if the birds would stop hitting the windows because we had seven separate birds hitting windows the day before I applied. We must have crazy birds because the morning after decals were up four birds have hit three different windows and my husband stated they were hitting right where the decals were applied to the windows. I decided since these weren't working as others described on their feedback I removed the decals so we have a clear view through the windows again. These are not invisible on the inside of the windows they show as clear designs of the decals.

I live very rural and have had many birds crashing into my home with lots of windows. Last week I had a beautiful hawk sitting on the back porch for over an hour after his/her close encounter.These stickers are great. They almost look like etched glass. I wish there were a couple other designs and maybe a couple different sizes. But overall, this product was as expected and the price was right.
