Works as described. My heavy tailgate now opens without me having to use two hands. One to unlatch & another to deaden the hard fall of the tailgate. Installation requires no special tools & all necessary parts for installing were included. I would recommend this product.

I didn’t know I needed this, it really is a game changer for when I have a ton of baseball stuff and my hands full, I don’t have to worry about the tailgate slamming down. I can simply open it and let it come down slowly. You only need one to lower a full size Chevy tailgate and the install was five minutes.

Can't put on without a nut cert tool, didn't come with corect sized bolts

The media could not be loaded. Awesome accessory for my tailgate, super smooth operation and quiet operation. I will say it helps if you have a nutsert tool (I do). As the bolt/nut included to install the nutsert without the tool were the incorrect size (hence only 4 stars) but this didn’t affect me as I used my tool.

Quick and easy to install and works amazing definitely worth the investment

Not good Quality. Missing parts to install tailgate rivet . Bought a cheap one the same time for my grandson. Much better quality good powder coating everything there.
