This is a great item. Yes, it does need to be mounted to something in order to be usable and effective. I chose to utilize some scrap wood I had laying around. Made a base 20" x 10" and it works perfectly. Step on either side to scrub mud off the other shoe. Plus it's portable. You can take it over to rinse it off at the garden hose when dirty.

This thing is perfect for scraping the mud & chicken poo off our boots before we go into the house. It does the job very well, was easy to install, & is very convenient to have! Great price & fast shipping. Thanks!

Still too early to fully review, but so far it meets expectations. The bristles are fairly flexible, so how well they hold up will be a test of time. Not as firm as the ones at the golf course, but should be OK for home use, coming in from the garden. Decent value at $12, saw it at the depot for $11 just after I bought it.

I purchased this for my basement door to be able to keep my feet clean before entering into my basement and it does a great job of cleaning everything off of your shoes.

These have been set up at our warehouse for several months now. They seem to be durable and perform as expected.

I havent had long enough to rate durability, however this boot brush is HEAVY. One may be able to get by without attaching to deck or porch because it is heavy. The brush bristles to clean the bottoms of boots and shoes are longer to clean out dirt/mud from the deep tread on work boots. I bought two of these one for back deck and one for garage door. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Purchased March '24. A bit narrow for a 13" work boot but did the job to brush off bottoms and sides. Doing the toes takes a bit of ankle twisting. After several months time a fungus began to grow on the wood sides and one side split horizontally in half leaving lower half of brush in place rending hampered functionality . Ordering a replacement that features "composite plastic" sides for the brushes staying away from the wooden type again.
