This stuff worked better than I expected. I figured the adhesive would have some issues or take clamping or something. Not the case. This stuff stuck like a champ and was super easy to make look good. As far as wear and tear it has held up well to regular foot traffic.

This is a quality product at a good price. Installed i today so I'll update this if anything changes, but for now the 3M glue is holding very well. There seemed to be two slight drawbacks: 1 - Cutting it as it requires either a larger sized sharp scissors or a sharp razor blade. I used medium sized scissors and, not as sharp as they needed to be, so it left a somewhat rough edge but it was easy to modify with a razor blade. 2 - if at an angle shape, it becomes less appealing after cutting across the blank separators and the main top part isn't as secure after the cross-cut. Otherwise, it's a nice appearance. I recommend the product with the knowledge that there are various considerations for its use.

Initial thoughts on the the product: First the good. After the first month, overall I love the product, hopefully it stays that way over time. The floor is easy to clean, soft on your feet yet still gives you some grip. Great for kneeling and laying on the floor. It was easy to install with one major hurdle. And really gives your boat a luxurious upgrade. Now the bad: The back of the peal off backing is covered with a wax coating that can't be drawn on and no tape will stick to. I tried sharpie, crayon, paint pen, chalk pencil, wax pencil, pen, pencil, nothing would trace on the back without smearing. I tried 5/6 different tapes to try and hold on my plastic templates and no tape would stick either. My only solution was to transfer templates to cardboard and then freehand trace the cardboard with a razor blade. Made for a long three step process. A non wax back coating that could be written on would have been an easy fix and made much more user friendly. Final thoughts, I would buy again but it was a painful template transfer process.

Looks great and very durable. Made my kayak look way more high end. I didn't do a very good job at making a template and making clean cuts, but that is my fault. I tried only masking tape first but it wouldn't come off clean in one piece. I then put tin foil down and masking tape over the tin foil the traces with a marker. That worked better. I just pressed that on the flooring and cut through the template but the tin foil messed up the cuts. I should have cut out the template first and then marked the flooring backing.

DO NOT BUY!!! Well I will start by it’s s been 3 months, boat stored with cover when not use and it’s used every weekend! this is the biggest waste of money!! Yep it’s peeling up and not just a little. The 3m sticks to the boat BUT not the padding, yes the padding separates from the sticky pad and peels up and leaves the floor with the adhesive still there. This is going to be a very very long offseason of removing this adhesive. Please do not under any circumstances buy this junk. Oh and it SHRINKS AFTER APPLIED!!! (See the yellow gaps! That was a perfect seamless install 3 months ago) last photo is day it was installed!

We replaced part of the wood flooring in our older boat. We put this on the wood and it adhered perfectly. We cut it with a razor blade and a scissors. The razor blade was a much cleaner cut. It looks great.

I'll leave my original review at the bottom. Here are my reasons for updating it and my conclusions. I contacted the Oceanbroad people and they were polite and understanding. They set up a ZOOM call to hear my opinions, and offered to replace the material. They genuinely want to take care of customers and launch a quality product. I give them points for that. I have a 30-foot sailboat that sits on a mooring in Miami where it gets full sun exposure. If you keep your boat in a garage or under a cover, or use this for interior floors, I imagine you'll get plenty of use from vinyl teak. And this will be the case for many boaters. The material is attractive, sticks well, and it's easy to work with. It's comfortable to walk on barefoot and makes excellent non-skid. If you have a cruising vessel exposed to full-time tropical sun, thermoplastic material will probably serve you better—or if you have the funds, real wood can last 50 years. • Vinyl is affordable and easy to work with for low-sun applications. In high sun, it shrinks and deteriorates. • Thermoplastic is slightly harder to work with and costs more but has a five-year guarantee. I haven't tried it to verify the results, and guarantees usually cover material costs only. Measuring and cutting panels and borders is time-consuming. You want to do the job once whether you hire someone to do it or DIY. • Wood is hardest to work with and costs the most, but any problems with it will almost certainly be the next owner's expense. In the long run, it's the best bargain despite the up-front costs. If you're considering vinyl decking, understand that it has its limitations. Vinyl that's UV-rated for 1000 hours will give you 125 eight-hour days of sun. If your boat is only exposed to sun when you use it, that can mean 125 days on the water—which is almost 3 years worth of Saturdays. But if your boat sits uncovered on a mooring, the material can shrink and deteriorate quickly. As long as you understand the pros and cons and choose the right material for your application, you'll be happy with Oceanbroad and their EVA foam boat flooring. Here's my original review. -------------------------- I used this EVA teak to create non-skid surfaces in my sailboat cockpit. I bought it because the 3M adhesive sounded like it would last—and so far, it has. But the vinyl has problems: 1. Whether this deteriorates because of UV exposure or on its own, it leaves orange "mud" everywhere. Sit on it with a wet swimsuit and you'll have an orange butt. A good scrub will temporarily help but then the problem returns. I can see the molded-in faux wood grain is wearing away. 2. After taking time and care to lay out borders and strips, I was disappointed to discover that many of my tight, invisible joints had opened up. If the material was worthwhile, I'd fill the voids with caulk—another project—but that would just make its inevitable removal more of a nightmare. How much re-painting will be needed when I redo this is yet to be seen. 3. The orange color is just a bit too bright to be natural (though I let that go at first thinking the material would work out). I did everything right and ended up with what will turn to to be an expensive time suck.

Flooring install went really easy, just make sure you lay it out and give it some time to flatten out before install. After laying out I did notice the 3M sticker backing had lifted off the flooring in several places but I added some 3M spray adhesive and it is STUCK. Great product, super grippy. I installed on aluminum for my boat floor.
