This just arrived and I've stuck it on the inside of my front door and straight away what a difference, my door is usually really drafty

Hairy draft excluder
We are renovating a property that has several poorly fitting outer doors and the wind just blows through the large gaps around the doors - so I decided to try a few draught excluders to see which performed best. This one comes in a roll and has a "brush" style, as opposed to a compression style - that makes a difference on which part of the door you fit them. This brush style allows the door to open and close with the draught excluder filling the gap as it lightly brushes the edges.Fairly easy to fit; just peel back the protective cover and stick on - making sure you have cleaned the surface beforehand. One of our door gaps was fairly irregular - I've tried to show that in photo 5 - but this excluder has a good depth coverage so can cope with irregularities.I did find it fairly tough to cut through with basic kitchen scissors, so next time I'll use some sharper cutters. Unfortunately a rough cut produced quite a few loose hair/brush fibres (see photo 6/7) - a sharper cutter may have not.Because it comes rolled up - it makes it a bit more awkward to stick on in a straight line because it keeps wanting to curl up again. But so far I'm pleased with the result - now need to see how long its springy-ness will last.

Should have done this earlier
Well, there was a big chunk of draught excluder missing from our front door, and in the cold December weather - I could feel a breeze coming through around the door lock where the old rubber seals were missing.I was concerned about this 'fluffy' version - would it sit too proud, would it work, would it look weird. Well as soon as it arrived I unpacked it, tightly coiled round, with good 3M backed adhesive. I cut a length to replace the missing run and stuck it on - all in all I think this took < 30 seconds.I wish I'd used the thermal imaging camera - because immediately the draught was gone, it was a DIY job with instant gratification, one of the most satisfying 30s of the year!So far it's held up well, stayed stuck and is doing a fabulous job - no more draughts! If only I'd done this earlier, I would have saved £££ in energy bills.

Perfect for winter
This has been perfect for helping keep my home a little bit warmer. I’ve always had issues of been able to feel cold coming through the door sides but this has pretty much eliminated that.As an added bonus, my door doesn’t slam like it used to either and now has a softer close due to the padding / softness.Very easy to instal - I’d just recommend you give the area a good clean first and make sure it’s 100% dry before you apply it.All looking good so far, I’d recommend, especially for the good value price.

Excellent quality / quick / easy / effective
This is great quality, sticks well and has brushes so makes a nice neat job that will definitely last. Made a huge difference to my front door. Door a bit tight to shut at first as it really fills any gaps effectively but this will become easier with a bit of time. I would also think that the brushes could be trimmed slightly if the thickness causes any issues. Only took about 2 minutes of my time to put it on my doorframe, so really quick and easy for anyone to be able to do as backing simply peels off. For best results, stick a little bit in place and then pull backing off gradually as you place it down or across your door (or frame) depending on where you are sticking it) which will mean it will give a lovely neat job and won't get stuck in the wrong place and you won't get in any tangles. (i saw a general video on you tube where they peeled off all the tape first and it really isn't thr best way to do it.) With my method you can make you cut when it is in place so as to keep it all nice and neat with no gaps. Made a huge difference to my front door so well worth investing in this great product to keep out draughts/cold

good but not amazing
thick dense bristles.the brush strip comes as a roll, and contrary to my expectations, the roll is not affected by being rolled - it makes that slight bit more difficult to apply, but once 'installed' it does not re-curl.the adhesive is pretty strong, and ive seen little sign of it failingtime will tell as to its long term durabilityrelatively easy to cut

Does it's job!
Excellent draft excluder that we've been using for our living room and passage doors to help keep the heat in and the cold out on these cold british nights. The excluder adheres well to our door and is substansial enough to do a good job. It's easy to cut down to size and installation is simple. There have been reviews that have stated that it hasn't stuck well for them but it was fine for us - perhaps it depends on the material of the door. Ours are simple wood with no grooves.Would recommend!

It Sticks!
I assume as you’re reading this review like me you like to keep as much heat in your home as possible by reducing drafts. This draft excluder is great and does the job well for larger gaps. It is possible to trim this should it be a bit too big but as this is 9mm I would only look at using this for bigger gaps. The best this about this it sticks really well and as of yet has not started to peel off. I would advise leaving a little gap somewhere to as in some cases having a really good seal can creating negative pressure making it difficult to open/close doors.
