This is the PCB version which has the same specs and tone as the more expensive pedal but is made with a custom PC board. The Sweet Honey Overdrive is designed to overdrive distorted amplifiand give dynamically controlled light overdrive on clean sounds. Distortion level can be controlled by pick attack and pickup strength. Harder picking for overdrive and softer for cleaner tone. With the unique Focus control you can adjust the feel and dynamics of the pedal as well as overall EQ. Turning Focus CCW you need to play harder to get distortion and the tone is softer, great for jazz and blue. Focus turned CW gives a slight treble boost and earlier distortion. This type of overdrive has previously only been found in the BJF Honey Bee but is now presented in Mad Professor version. Nice lower mid peak (not like a MIAB), and not too many harmonics to make it sound fuzzy. It takes an input boost (Timmy) well for when I need more gain. One thing I did do though was mod the input cap value to increase the low end a bit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome pedal *by on Reviewed in the United States November 3, 2021* My expectations were high for this product. I can say it not only surpassed but truly has given a new definition to my sound. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This and a TU 3 tuner are the only pedals I use. *by on Reviewed in the United States July 25, 2023* This pedal can provide cream and chime to your tone, perfectly transparent. It’s super quiet and both volume and touch sensitive.I leave it on all the time (it sits on top of my amp, no pedal board) and run in front of a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 1x12, master amp volume on 8 (to get the 6L6’s breathing), pre amp gain on 5 (I prefer a cleaner tone), and then use the volume pot on the pedal as a master volume. Both focus and tone are set at max.Not high gain, but if you play anything other than metal, this is a great pedal.
