I ordered this because I dropped some screws in the grass and didn't want them to find their way into a tire. Even with tall-ish grass, it picked them up. It picked up shavings ,so to keep the magnet it's strongest, it helps to wipe the magnet now and then. Good quality, light weight, and worth the money.

Super easy to assemble and very effective! We're renovating the exterior of the family home and this helped with cleanup and safety. So many rusty old nails out of the yard after clearing the siding debris. You have to move at an even, easy pace, but this little tool is definitely worth the money.My only personal complaint is I'd like a longer handle since I'm taller, but that had no bearing on the tool's effectiveness.

Very strong magnet, release complete, but a little sloppy in function. Strong enough to pull nails sideways to it! Height adjustment time consuming and needs tools, but it picks up at 2" very well.

I recently had roofing and siding work done and figured it would be smart to get one of these. The crew brought their own magnet sweepers and went around the house, however I was still able to find a lot and then more. I cannot recommend this gadget enough. It's also cathartic to hear the "ting" of each piece of metal it picks up. Don't worry about the fancy ones with the magnet release, these work just as well if not better. Just wear gloves to protect your hands when brushing off the nails. The build quality is not the best, but for the price makes it work it. The joints do slide pending on your force when using, I just wrapped them with a little duct tape and didn't have any issues. It's a good size for the job.

I bought this because i lost a valve lash off of a briggs and stratton lawnmower engine and found it within seconds of rolling the magnet across the grass outside, It also picked up a screwdriver bit on the way, it makes a clicking sound when i pick something up which is great!, The magnet has great power aswell. Love it.

I had a siding company coming to side my house. I said "Should I get this magnet thing? Is it worth 20 dollars?" well 5 days.. they cleaned up. my wife cleaned up.. then I ran my magnet over every inch of the driveway and of the 5 days. This picture is what I got daily for 5 days. It works and it works really wellSure the wheel fell off once. I put it back on and it was fine.but did this pick up nails? Sure did.. did it pick up things that had been there for a LONG time in addition to the nails from construction. It SURE did. Considering it is probably 20 dollars or more to get a tire plugged.This is a no brainer. It works. picks up small ones. PIcks up big nails picks up anyhing magnetic too.When you CATCH something you hear a loud click. I pick the tool up and put whatever in my pocket then continue. It is worth every penny. In a way I wonder if I shouldnt have bought the 70 dollar one that is like 30 times stronger. This worked great. Pulled up a TON of stuff I dont want in my tires of my cars.
