Gasparini 120pcs 6mm balsa Filters (3 Packs x 40 Filters) for Tobacco Smoking Pipes

They do a more than adequate job of catching tar in my opinion, which is all I have to offer. After fiddling with these chemical filtration cylinders as to which I cannot detect superior performance, particularly with respect to taste and pull, I've resigned myself to Italian genius once again. Perhaps I am influenced by really liking Savinelli pipes which put me onto these things.

Excellent fit in 6mm Sav stem and better price than the Sav brand as well. Each one lasts a few bowls. NOT having filters inserted results in a very wet mess trust me! UPDATE: The problem now is they are NO longer in Prine and a Long wait to get plus a shipping charge.

I only own two 6mm pipes and I prefer activated carbon filters but I can't seem to find one that fits. I decided to go back to the balsa wood "filters" in my 6mm pipes. I think these are better than the triangular Savinelli filters because I think the little channels in these trap more moisture and garbage. This is of course not a scientific finding, just my personal opinion based on experience and observation lol. These fit great, draw great, and don't change the flavor of the tobacco that I can detect. They're less expensive than the Savinelli too. I replace these after three or four smokes and feel like they're a good value.

Work just as good as other brands I have. Great price. I use them twice, just pull them out and let them air out for a day and they are fine for at least one more bowl. Sometimes i go for 3 bowls depending on the specific tobacco.

First time ordering/using balsa filters.

OK filters but a relatively hard balsa wood that does not absorb as well as the Savenelli branded ones.

These work much better than I thought they would. The unique shape of these filters don't allow as much air by but there is more material to absorb moisture. The trade off is worth it.
