Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone star in this comedy about two retired boxers returning to the ring for one last fight. 30 years ago, Billy 'The Kid' McDonnen (De Niro) and Henry 'Razor' Sharp (Stallone) were boxing rivals but Razor decided to leave the ring for good the night before they were due to battle it out for the championship, which ultimately put an end to both their careers. With each of them having achieved a win in their previous two matches, the pair now have the opportunity to face each other a third and final time. They each start up a training regime in preparation for the match but at their age, both The Kid and Razor aren't as fit as they once were. Can either of them prove they still have what it takes to win? The film also stars Kevin Hart, Alan Arkin, Kim Basinger and Jon Bernthal.

"A score to settle"
Grudge Match review:I didn't get a chance to watch this movie when it was released in the cinema, so picked it up cheap on Amazon for £3.00, and have to admit I loved every minute of this film. The film is based around two former boxers played by one of my favourite actors i.e. Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro who are basically rivals who are brought out for one more fight in the squared circle. The film has some great supporting actors i.e. Kevin Hart, Alan Arkin, Jon Bernthal, and the lovely Kim Basinger. Its an amazing film, and the final fight between Stallone and De Niro is well co-ordinated and emotional throughout.

Right balance of comedy and drama.
This was surprisingly good with a great cast to go with it. It had the perfect balance of comedy and drama.

'A SCORE TO SETTLE' (HOW LONG CAN A GRUDGE BE HELD ?)
Thirty years have past since Henry 'Razor' Sharp'(Sylvester Stallone) and 'Billy 'The Kid' McDonnen'(Robert De Niro) faced each other in the ring, the score stands at one apiece. There 'History' between them, they certainly don't care for each other, after a scuffle that had beenfilmed on a camera-phone hits the 'web' a lot of interest is generated. The two are offered big-bucks to have a overdue re-match, by boxing promoter 'Dante Slate' who willpromote the meet as a 'Grudge-Match.'Razor' really needs the cash, bills have piled-up, while 'Billy' just wants to be ahead of the count\....so the fight is on.'Dante' (Mason Mackie) will have to raise public awareness so the meeting isn't played out in anempty arena, no audience, no money. These guys are seriously out of condition, their training schedules bring plenty of ''light'' momentsto proceedings, 'Billy' eventually enlists the help of 'B.J' the son he'd known little about until now,'Razor' relies on old friend and mentor 'Louis 'Lightning' Conlon' to put him through his paces.Their past in the shape of 'Sally' (Kim Basinger) is back in both fighters lives, for different reasons, however in different ways her presence will enrich both their lives.Screen legends 'Robert De Niro' and 'Sylvester Stallone' role back the years, both having starredin 'Boxing-movies' many moons ago, it seems, 'Sly' in the 'Rocky' series of course, 'De Niro' in'Raging Bull'Though there are no Oscars to be won the film is an entertaining watch, with many moments ofhumour along the way, and of course the 'Fight' itself, which visually is pretty impressive consideringthe ages of our two 'Stars''Don't miss the take-outs at the end of the film.Well worth a spin.Special Features -More Hilarious moments with 'Kevin Hart' - in the ring with 'Kevin Hart' - 'Kevin Hart' unedited.Legends of the Ring - featuring 'Tyson' and 'Holyfield' - Blow by Blow with 'Larry Holmes'Plus - an alternative opening and two alternative endings.....plus - More.

Thought this film was brilliant, humour
Thought this film was brilliant, humour, action and plenty more. If you was to judge a book by its cover you would think, agh an average film with 2 has-beens but no, an excellent film in my opinion.

Rocky Vs Raging Bull nuff said
Really good film. I liked the story the dialog the still and media captures of the characters in their prime. The one thing that let the film down for me was the fight itself. Yes I am an unapologetic Stallone fan and love all the Rocky movies. The problem for me was in the Grudge match Stallone seemed to lose all his boxing technique, just throwing wild punches dropping his hands with every shot. I have to complement De Niro as he actually tried to show some semblance of boxing ducking and countering then going for the big left or right. However every time they showed him he looked his age, in fact during the fight he looked 20 year older. The story (small spoilers). Razor (Stallone) and The Kid (De Niro) have fought twice in the past each winning over the other. Both are local heroes in Pittsburgh, and legends worldwide. Just before their rubber match Razor suddenly and inexplicitly announces his retirement. Years later their lives have taken drastically different routes the only thing they have in comment is that they hate and can't stand each other. Though both of them are way past their prime a YouTube release gone viral generates huge interest for them both to fight again. An extremely enjoyable film, especially for fans of Stallone or De Niro. There are also guest appearances for commentators, boxers, and MMA fighters. Just a little disappointing in the final fight which is the only reason I had to take a star away.
