I have used one of these for camping so I knew it worked well. I had Coolaroo sun shades (Costco purchase) I was using for the west side of my house that is hit by the sun. I bought one to compare to coolaroo while both were still hanging on my patio. I could feel the difference standing beside it. The Aluminet felt cooler while the coolaroo felt hotter. Also, the Aluminet allowed air to pass through. I’m sold! Will be purchasing more to cover the rest of that side of the house.

Works to provide shade for pet in yard. Doesn't hold water so stays up.

This is just grey nylon or something, not aluminized as pictured. Its fine, but not as pictured.

I spend hours and hours and hours at field trials and hunt tests with my dog. For those unfamiliar, at these Akc events, your dog must stay in a crate in your car in between their turn in the competition. There is often no shade, and very little respite from the heat and sun. It is extremely important to keep your animal cool and comfortable.These events occur in the heat of summer. Once you put this over your car it immediately cools down the vehicle. I honestly did not think it was possible. But it really is!I purchased this item, honestly, because it was the least expensive. Because I was so unsure that it would work I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I’ve had this now for four years and it has yet to have a tear, a rip, or have any flaw whatsoever. I have put it through its paces and it has come out a winner.All my training partners have purchased one of these. They are also as happy as I am. But most importantly our precious puppies are safe and cool.

Now that outdoor dog show season is fully upon us here in the Northeast, a shade cloth is essential to help keep our canine friends cool and out of the sun. Used this shade cloth for the first time this Memorial Day weekend. It is much better than using a tarp because it still allows air to pass through and not make air stagnant and hot under a pop up awning. Also, the dog show equipment suppliers at the show charge about 5 times the amount for a similar product. No joke. My only concern with this product, or any of them, is durability since the open metallic design lends itself to snagging on stuff. However, the concern is worth the comfort for us and the dogs.

This doesn’t give complete shade but definitely cools the area a bit. I use this when I’m desert camping in my van, draped over the sliding door opening.I’ve priced it in other stores and found this to be more reasonably priced on Amazon.
