limited to a 2230 NVMe? Not anymore :)
Used this to mod my Legion Go and move from the small SSD up to a 2TB SSD in a 2280 configuration to better spread out the heat while also increasing capacity. Wins all around, SO worth it! Easiest mod I've done in a while, with massively impactful results :D Zero regrets.

Nice! Actually gets PCIe 4.0 speed!
Works great and has PCIe 4.0 speeds! I had bought a cheaper adapter to start and only got 3.0 speeds around 3500 or so. Returning the cheaper one and got this one and it don't disappoint reading around 6800 or so! Fits great and easy installation you do need to remove the 2 standoffs on the back panel really easy with nail clipers! The cost is almost double but it's worth it for the speed! Also like it come with a heat spreader, screws and a screwdriver. Temps are good too idles at 39c and only got up to 50c under load so far. Haven't had it long hope it will hold up very happy with it.

Great way to expand Legion Go Storage
So happy this adapter was made. It's easy to install. We went with a slower Crucial SSD and it actually helped the thermals.

Back cover won’t close tried several name drives sith differnt chipset designs.
Title says it all. It work… until the time comes to close up your legion go. Art of the back cover pushed up against eh drive and knocks it lit od place or pushes the pins.Someone needs to make an extended back cover that isn’t 3D printed for sure.Update: I got it working. I got the drive cloned and had a successful boot and was playing around windows. Did a had speed check. Overheats. Spent a hours with different thin copper and other cooling solutions to no avail. Just kept overheating. Does not overeheat when using a pci to usb adapter though. Will try a different drive and see if that helps or not.

Sometimes could not be recognized and speeds are not Gen 4
I got it to work after a couple of tries on my legion go but the read and write speeds max out at 1700 mbps, not gen 4 speeds. When I would start it up sometimes I would be windows blue screened and had to restart my device.TLDR: It works sometimes, and read and write speeds max out at 1700 mbps.
