I have made some really nice rods on expensive blanks. I Needed a catfish rod but didn't have time to make my own. After purchasing this rod, I won't be making any more rods for myself. There is no way I can compete with the price/value of this rod without putting $100 just in the materials. Plus many hours in building it. I now own 2 and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
