Dual Light Stands for scanning documents, Photos, Products, Albums, textbooks, and Receipts with Balanced Illumination

This is a very simple product with a bit of a DIY component to it. You have to stick on the LED light strips and assemble the cardboard stands. Yes, cardboard. So, the materials are nothing fancy or pretty. However, if you are looking to add extra light for snapping photos or working on small projects, these work exactly as advertised. They get the job done. They provide a lot of extra light and can be moved around easily. The length of the electrical plug is a little on the short side, so using an extension cord might be needed. Still, I am glad I bought these and would do so again.

Light output is good, but made very flimsy and cheap. Made of only cardboard which stand up like boat sails it will fall over with the slightest air draft.

This product performs well and is accurately described and depicted. For only $14, it delivers quality lighting for photographing documents and snapshots. I want to archive all my old photos, kids’ artwork, baby books, etc. in case we experience a disaster at home (fire, etc.). I read the reviews before I made my purchase, so I knew the panels were heavy cardboard. Compared to the $300+ alternatives, this set-up works just fine for my needs. It’s easy to assemble and I’m very pleased with the final results of my photo captures using my cell phone. I highly recommend it.

A simple solution to lighting some photos and documents for a digital archive I was creating that wasn’t going to cost an arm and a leg for a one time project.

It’s obviously a very simple, yet effective item. I’ve been using it with a black scanning pad from Photomyne to grab portraits from a HS yearbook for use at a 50 year reunion. The Photomyne app makes that easy. I’m also using it with the Scanner Pro app to convert historical documents and books to PDF. Scanning apps for your phone are great, but avoiding glare and shadows from available light sources is always a pain. This little gadget is a quick and inexpensive solution. As others have pointed out, you could probably fabricate something similar. But you didn’t, did you?

Trying to copy a poster. The lights are so bright and not tall enough to shine evenly across the poster and they create washed out areas on the edges. (No glare since this is matte paper. It is black on a hot pink background.) Useless for my needs. May work for smaller stuff, but not for this.

I am totally amazed at how simple and wonderful this photo set works...it made my wife cry with joy when she saw our family photos on our phones! I bought the photyme remote and now i have an instant photo studio! I am excited yo capture 40 years of pictures for all to enjoy...thank you

It works but is kind of lame
