These are fairly small and more intended for use under mini-fridges, so the washer and dryer would have to be quite small to be able to fit. I personally use these as small risers for video game machines, and they're fantastic for that. I'd recommend measuring your appliances before you order any. I know for certain my own washer and dryer would not fit on one of these. **Q: So this stand is for someone who rarely moves their appliance as the legs must be shortened?** A: The stand I purchased was the one with the legs only. I have moved it twice since I installed it and it has held up really well. This stand is very well built and I extended the legs to it's maxium height. However, if you want to move it a lot, I recommend the wheels. **Q: Will the pads slide easily on a laminate floor?
