I love these bars

These are complete nutrition bars, I didn't realize that at first, but after looking at the package I realized these have a good variety of nutrients packed into them. My photos show the percent DV (I didn't see that on the product page). They have 13 grams of protein per bar, which is over three times as much as some of the other bars I regularly eat - so these are definitely protein-rich nutrient bars. I got the peanut caramel flavor - I thought they tasted fine. I feel they have a kind of a nutty smooth flavor with a good amount of sweetness, but not too much. They are a little chewy and nutty, the chocolate coating is probably similar to a milk chocolate - so it kind of just blends in with the rest of it. I've eaten a couple of them when I've been hungry and needed some nourishment and they seemed to help satisfy me so I can continue on. The price seems a bit steep for me (currently 39.99 for a box of 12), but that seems to be on par with other high end bars I see for sale, hopefully you can catch them on sale occasionally.

I was introduced to Huel meal replacement shakes about a year ago and always have one in my car and my gym bag because...just in case! I was really impressed with the taste and nutrition of Huel products. The meal shakes were one of the only brands of meal shakes I actually liked. I was excited to see that Huel also has bars. The bars have fewer calories (190) compared to the meal replacement shakes (400) and are perfect for a mid morning or mid afternoon snack before or after a workout. The peanut caramel flavor is very good and tastes more or less like a snickers bar but not quite as sweet. It's not at all like eating a normal protein bar. I found these much tastier. They are soft and easy to chew as well. These bars have a chocolatey coating so I think they'd probably get melty in warmer temperatures. In terms of nutrition, I like these bars because they contain protein (13) and carbs (23 g) and fiber (6g) to keep me full. I also appreciate that the ingredients are plant-based and contain only 2g of sugar. The only downside to these bars is the price. At over $3 per bar, these bars are pricey. However, I would still recommend them because they taste great, have a good texture, and contain clean ingredients.

I love huel, I have only ordered from there website before this and never had a problem. I saw that I could get it on Amazon and I figured I would get some. The box was all beat up when I got it and then when I opened the first bar it was powdery and tasted nasty, I tried one more and was the same. So definitely not worth getting on Amazon.

I heard about these through a podcast I watch. I purchased, upon arrival I scanned the barcode with my ‘ yuka’ app, it said these bars contain 11 risky additives, 190 calories & 3 gram saturated fat. That does not sound like nourishment to me. I will not be buying again.

These bars have 4g net carbs (10g-6g fiber) and are sweetened with maltitol. This sweetener is pleasant as long as you don’t overdo it as it is a sugar alcohol and does have a laxative effect and can cause gas if you eat too much. All that said, it is really tasty for a vegan protein bar. It has a respectable array micronutrients, 9g of fat, and 13g of protein. It counts as “complete nutrition” since it has between 10% and 30% of most vitamins and minerals the average human body needs. It is a responsible snack choice for your body but tastes like a treat. The caramel and peanuts really make it feel like a candy bar.

I just got the box in and the product is about to expire in November 2024. The caramel has melted and the oils have cooled and collected on the bottom. Not exactly appetizing.

I found out the hard way that me and whey do NOT go together peacefully, so when I eat anything with added protein I make sure it's not whey. The protein in these is plant based (rice and pea protein), so my stomach doesn't get all up in a rage when I eat one for a snack. I like that these don't just have the protein, but the additional nutrition as well-- something that as a busy mom I'm sure I'm not getting enough of because I'm always rushing to eat as I run out the door. They're pretty satiating, so I don't still feel like I'm starving after I eat one. The taste is pretty decent. It tastes a lot like a typical protein bar, and I like that they have bits of peanuts in them, but I kinda wish there were more. If they weren't so pricey I'd probably order them again because it's tricky for me to find tasty protein bars that don't contain whey, but it's a little too steep for me.
