I ordered 4.5kg of hay and got less than 2kg of hay and over 2.5 kg of dust. This works out incredibly expensive. I separated the hay out in the garden and was forced to use my breathing mask (not a facemask a proper snug fitting, double filter, breathing mask) due to the clouds of dust. What hat there was is ok. Although, it should more accurately be called 'Timothy Straw' as it is very thick and tough. It looks like the company have removed the upper part of the plant and just sold the tougher lower part. I cannot find any seed heads or thinner stems. My rabbit will eat it, but not in large quantities as she does with the other timothy hay I buy.
