It needs feeding guidelines and nutritional break down. For example, how much protein, fats and carbs should they have , what's the percentage break down. How many calories should a 80 lb dog get versus a 8 lb one? Puppies versus a senior dog?

I have been on the lookout for recipes for my dog's food. There is too many additives in the grocery store brands and the better quality foods are so expensive I had to find an alternative. I cook real food and healthy meals for my family, and the dogs deserve the same. The sweet potato sticks will make a great present for my mom's dog. I plan on using the pumpkin treats as training rewards.

Interesting, will try it

I was looking for balanced recipes with known ratios of what vitamins, minerals, protein %, etc, are in them. I want research based recipes. These recipes have no information about them other than the animals may like them. This is not for me….

Great recipes

This is a very interesting book that discusses various ingredients needed for a dog's diet. It has some excellent recipes for nutritious dog snacks and dog food. I enjoyed it very much, especially for the recipes, but if you are looking for more detailed listing of nutrients and percentages needed, or how much quantity is needed per specific size of dog, this will seem incomplete. I, however, didn't mind that that was missing, because I know approximately how much she will eat, and I figure a balanced diet will provide all the nutrients that she needs. I did quite enjoy the recipes.

Bought as a gift, greatly appreciated for this dog lover
