It can be used for power distribution, to protect devices or circuit boards from dust or moisture and even offer a secure hold and protection to keys, switches and film keypads. The casing has the IP code 65 and therefore is suitable for use outdoors. All plastics used are UV resistant and therefore guarantee a long lifespan outdoors. The smooth casing sides on the lower section allow you to use as many screws as you wish of different sizes when employing cable glands. The matching cable glands can be ordered now at our shop and of course you will only have to pay one set of shipping costs. The polyamide hinge screws used are particularly practical. They serve as a hinge when opening the top of the casing and hold the lid in an open position. If the lid needs to be opened multiple times, regular screws would very quickly lose their shape and the lid could possible become impossible for screw shut again after being opened just a few times. The hinge screws used here allow you to open the lid as many times as you like - without wearing out the screws of the screw holes. The openings for the hinge screws allow the lid to be opened in 2 directions. You can also purchase the wall mounting set to match the casing.
