My husband calls these awesome mugs "professional coffee-drinking equipment." We are using them in the house as our regular mugs: we got tired of losing ceramic mugs to our kids dropping them on the tile floor and decided to try stainless. I picked these particular mugs because the handle looked the best of all the available stainless models. Indeed the handle is very comfortable to hold. The mugs are gorgeous and make a satisfying sound when a metal spoon is used to stir the beverage. They are extremely easy to wash. Best of all, they keep the coffee hot for a nice, long time, much better than ceramic. I would caution that the beverage is so hot that you need to add a bit of cold water or creamer lest it be actually mouth-burning hot for the first sips. I did follow the instructions for seasoning the mugs with a vinegar soak before use, and most of us find no metallic taste to our beverages. One son feels that tea (though not coffee) tastes metallic in these mugs, but that has not been my experience. We are delighted with these!

I have been reading about how common it is for pottery glaze to have lead, and honestly I want to keep every brain cell I have. So I ordered these mugs, recommended on a blog I read about non-toxic home goods. These are FABULOUS. They feel really good in your hand and they are so smooth and lightweight too - just so nicely made. I made some tea today and then got busy doing house stuff and came back to find the tea still nice and hot. These are approx 14 ounces which is ok, but my husband is grumbling about missing his giant college logo mug which is maybe 18 or even 20 ounces so I hope in the future the manufacturer might make larger mugs. In the meanwhile, all my beloved Disney made-in-China mugs are going to be DISPLAY ONLY and I already ordered a few more of these stainless ones :)

I bought these mugs to use outdoors in chilly weather but just plain like them. They look nice, keep liquids hot while the outside of the mug stays cool, are a good size and feel, and are easy to clean. Mugs come with instructions on "conditioning" the metal in a vinegar solution, so be sure to do that before you use them. I inadvertently used a cheaper 4% vinegar the first time and had better luck with a 5% vinegar the second time. If you like to recycle, put the used vinegar solution down one of your drains with some baking soda, to help clean and freshen the drain.

I purchased these mugs a few months when I started working from home. I walk back and forth between my house and garage addition and worried about dropping my ceramic mug. After using these for about a week I forgot about the ceramic mug entirely and use these for everything now! They do keep your beverage warm a bit longer than a ceramic mug, but it will still cool to a drinkable temperature in a reasonable amount of time. They keep cold drinks with ice cold for a long time! Very durable, they still look brand new after months of daily use!

I purchased this mug set to use with my one cup coffee maker. I wanted to retire my ceramic mugs in favor of a mug that would not have any possible lead content. These mugs were the right size to fit into the coffee maker which is the first reason I chose them. When they arrived I found that they are beautiful and very easy to clean and use. I like the way the rim feels when I'm drinking from it. That's kind of hard to explain but the rim is shaped in a way that seems very comfortable. I had never thought about a cup's rim shape until I used these mugs. In addition they have absolutely no metal taste as some reviewers mentioned. I followed the instructions for soaking them prior to their first use and it prevented the metal taste. I like these mugs so much that I plan to order another set for when we have company.

I have used these mugs over a 3-weeks period. I still like the looks of these mugs: shiny bright; clean, simple lines; sturdy. Also, they are stainless & dishwasher safe, and holding them is very comfortable too. But they present a real problem for me:I drink 12 ounces of coffee each cup and like it to stay reasonably hot for a while, at least a few minutes. But these mugs did not maintain my coffee's temperature very long. They are advertised as having a "double wall", presumably for the purpose of having an insulating air gap inside. But after inspecting them close up, any air trapped between the mug's inner and outer walls would have to be extremely narrow and therefore unable to meaningfully reduce heat transfer from my coffee into the outer wall (and then to the ambient air around the outer mug. I estimate the air gap is maybe about 1/16 inch or so. Compounding any limited advantage of a small air gap is that the mugs have Metal walls - and metal is a really good conductor of heat. So, compared to any "insulating" air gap, the metal walls of the mugs are able to reduce the heat of my coffee much faster than a small air gap can hold back that heat.Review independently provided by: "OAN", Registered Professional Engineer (Retired), CA

We have many stainless steel mugs, all from Amazon, and all excellent. However, this set is a step above, They are extra unique and heavier, sturdy, shiny, and have extra thick handles. Coffee or tea stays hot longer. Water stays cold longer. I love these mugs.
