Some products just knock it out of the park. They’re so good you can’t give them less than 5 stars. This is one of those. I was afraid it wouldn’t be bright enough, or that it would be that gross “Daylight” bluish color that so many LED lamps produce. I was worried that it would tip over. Or that it wouldn’t be well-made.If you’re worried about these kinds of things, stop worrying. This is your lamp. I bought it for my Steinway Model D, which I practice many hours each day. I needed a REALLY good light that didn’t leave me uncomfortable in any way. This is it. It’s so much better than I imagined that I’m not the least concerned about what I paid for it. It’s a beautiful, soft, bright light that is NOT blue. it won’t tip over without a pretty good pull, but if you position it over your keyboard, with the base straddling the front piano leg (bass clef side), nobody will be tipping it, anyway. But the lamp base is heavy enough to keep it easily upright. The lamp is extremely well made. You do the final assembly with about 8 bolts, but they go in easily because they are well engineered. You can tell as you assemble it that it’s not cheaply made. Everything fits. Everything is solid. The whole lamp feels solid once you’ve got it assembled. And don’t worry about assembly. It’s super easy — 10 minutes max from time you unbox it. I don’t think you can make a mistake.The dimmer knob is nice. Perfectly positioned high enough not to bump the piano (or desk, or other furniture), it is easily within reach and is very effective. I keep mine at about ¾ brightness most of the time when I’m practicing, and I like a well-lit keyboard and music stand. Take care of your eyes. See clearly what you’re reading. This lamp is worth so much more than the price. 5 STARS, but I’d give it TEN!

This lamp is amazing. I purchased it to provide light over my sewing table and it works great. I have bright light down onto the sewing area and light upwards that provides an overall brighter space. This seems to reduce shadows. The item was very easy to put together, even for me. The rotating light switch is at an easy height to reach and although I use the light at full strength, the dimmer provides a wide range of soft to bright light. Very good quality product and I highly recommend it. Photos show my sewing table with the light off and then on.

I wanted to love this lamp—it’s powerful, well-built, and stylish, and it mimics natural light very well. It might work well as a room light or a general reading lamp, but it’s not suitable as a grand piano light.Although it could beautifully light the whole keyboard and music notes, the fixed lamp head sits directly above the keyboard, and the downward beam shines right into the player’s eyes.There’s no way to adjust the angle or change the color temperature, and although the product claims to be “glare-free,” I experienced noticeable glare and eye strain.If you’re light-sensitive or have high myopia, this design may not work for you.I hope the manufacturer considers a future version with adjustable angles and better shielding for targeted use over a piano.

I use this product to light a work bench for RC cars which require an extremely bright work area. Very well constructed and simple functionality.Note, some of the lights are on the top off the light bar which adds lots of light to the room as well as workspace.

Wow! I can't believe how great this lamp is! Lights on ceiling side and downward- completely changed the way my rooms are lighted, like being in a different and light filled room!

It lights my entire project table where I write, craft, and create. It also lights the entire room with a cozy vibe in areas not directly beneath. Definitely a satisfying purchase.
