I ordered this light from clear channel fully knowing (from the listing) that it would be almost two weeks before I received it. I was in a hurry - but torn between the "perfect light" and "Usually ships within 6 to 10 days." - I wanted to surprise my wife with the new sconce and have it installed before she returned home in a week from a business trip. Well, I ordered it on a Sunday night and believe I had it the very next Wed or Thu - using standard shipping!***I am not sure what else Clear Channel sells, however, $10 3-4 day shipping on a large package that probably weighed 15 lb IS OUTSTANDING BUSINESS PRACTICE. I don't know if my experience was the norm or exception, but if I see an item I want for sale from them, I will order with confidence!(enough of the clear channel "plug"... :)***The description and photo given on the Amazon page does not give you enough information to understand just the quality and size of the sconce you're buying! Based on the price, shipping weight and recommended 13W bulb, I thought it might be a little 6 or 8 inch square light good for ambiance. If you're looking for "cabin decor" you already know how expensive it can be and how some companies like to take advantage of us poor schmucks! ;) With as much seriousness I can muster on a Sunday morning watching rain outside my window - this light is an incredible bargain! It is in my honest opinion that if "Black Forest Decor" sold this sconce it would easily command a $400 price tag in their catalog!Enough of background info - how about that sconce?First of all - when you open the (large) shipping box, you are greeted with a sconce that is 15"x15"x6" ! It is HUGE! I am surprised it isn't listed in the seller's description - and the weight... well, eight pounds is a little on the light side - this light looks to be constructed out of 16ga steel.Quality, fit, finish: All are superb!The light is powdercoated 16ga steel and comes apart into three pieces: the base, the curved front and a FULL SIZE sheet of mica. Each side of the base has a rounded lip that the front slides down into. The powdercoat finish is listed as "brown sugar" and, in my opinion, would be more accurate if it was listed as "Bronze" - but no big deal! The powdercoating also looks "hand hammered" and has a very nice and texture that betrays its (relatively) low price.It comes with clear instructions and all the necessary hardware to install - and the extra hardware that IS INCLUDED is needed! Like I mentioned before - this thing is HEAVY and needs additional support. Like a regular light fixture, it uses the two screws in your wiring box - but relying on those only would probably pull the box out of the wall or at least not let the light sit flush on your wall. It also comes with two extra anchors for additional support closer to the outside edges. These anchors help mount the sconce safe & secure to your wall - I mounted ours to drywall - and I have no worries of it falling down. :)Once mounted, the sconce looks fantastic with a 13W florescent bulb. I think the 13W lamp is recommended because the mica sheet sits close to the bulb. I don't know for sure, but perhaps a hotter bulb will damage the mica (?). The cutout of the moose looks to have been done with a water jet or plasma cutter; I think the detail on the trees are too delicate for a stamping. Not that big of a deal, other than it doesn't seem like these things are turned out in large quantities, but more created with a bit more care (which always somehow "feels" better to me).If you're on the fence about this sconce - I would recommend buying it:1. Because of Clear Channel's excellent shipping and communication, and;2. The quality and beauty of this sconce could easily command a price 4x higher than it is selling for!

Very pleased with this. I'm using a 60w bug light for extra warmth. The sconce is fairly large and heavy, so for drywall you need to drill two holes for wall anchors that screws go in. Also, contrary to the instructions that came with mine, you don't need to take out the formica panel to install this because the entire metal plate with the nature scene on it slides up and out. Just make sure you have adequate clearance above the sconce to put the front plate back in after you've mounted the back to the wall and outlet. I had a clearance issue, so I HAD to remove the formica panel, attach the whole sconce, and then slide up the front as far as I could to slip the formica panel back in. There are workarounds that I thought of if clearance is a big issue. Great light for the price!!

This is a beautiful sconce. Looks awesome in our basement hallway. The only caution I have for potential buyers is the predrilled holes to mount the sconce to the wall did not work for me. I drilled my own holes where I wanted them. So if drilling holes in a brand new sconce sounds scary to you I would suggest contacting the seller for exact dimensions and orientation of the mounting holes.

I would have given this a 5 except that the sconces I received were not the ones pictured. They were still horses, but only one horse running instead of the 3 horses running. I would have preferred the 3 horses, but I kept the sconces that were sent to me. We haven't gotten to installing them yet, so I cannot comment on that yet.

Bought 7 of these, 2 for stairway hall and 5 for great room. Very pretty with a nice yellow hue, lots of positive comments from our guests.

This Sconce is very nice. Easy to install and looks great at night. The front part (the decorated pine bough part) is supposed to slide upward so you can install the back plate to the wall and change bulbs, however I mounted mine closer to the ceiling and was unable to slide the front panel up so I could take it off without hitting the ceiling. But it's not a big deal as the front decorated part is thin enough where you can slightly bend it in enough and pull it straight out.

It looks good on the net but even better in person. It has a nice amber glow and easy to install. We have it on a dimmer and it looks perfect.
