Good, Cheap, Quality Breaker
I needed a break to get a broken Metpost and old rotted wooden post out of concrete. This breaker costs twice as much as when I hired one back 2019. However we have a lot buried in concrete and in time others are bound to break. So it will pay for itself in time. I tend to try and find Draper tools when I can as they do seem to be good. So what was it like... It came all in tacked and in one piece. No broken or missing parts as described by others (they must have had a Friday one). The plastic box was wrapped with a cardboard slide (not shown). The open box picture shows how it came inside. The box is made of hard plastic, so is good protection for the drill when storing it away. It comes with a Flat & Pointed chisel, a spanner to get into the gearbox when it requires servicing and a small Grease pot. The Auxiliary handle was already attached and all I had to do was position the and turn the handle to tighten it onto the breaker. Nice and easy. I turned the bottom end of the flat chisel in the grease, not too much but enough to cover it. The inserted it into the breaker. Easy mechanism to use, just pull down the chuck cover to open it, slide in and rotate until it drops in and release chuck. Pull to make sure its does not come out. These devices do not hold it tight but allows for movement. If they didn't you'd be shaken to bits LOL. So I used the flat chisel, placed it on the ground where I wanted to start digging and pulled the trigger. Well it just worked, cut through my rubbish concrete like it was butter. I was very pleased. I was resting the device every so often to give it a chance to cool down and so I could measure how deep I had gone. I reckon I got a 25cm diameter circle (ish) and around 25cm deep. So just under 30cm. I get back aches when working bent over so I dug the hole over two weekends. On both occasions it worked a treat. Would I recommend it to to anyone else ... yes. Like I said, the concrete I was digging was poor quality more sand than grit hence it cut it easily. But its works, so as long as you treat it carefully and don't go forcing it like a bull in a china shop I think it'll last well. So far so good its done what I wanted, which is great. Unfortunately now, I just have to find somewhere to store it.

Works Exactly as Stated
I liked the look and specification along with the trade rating encouraged me to buy this item. Then finding it at £92.0 with a 3 year warranty it was a no brainer to purchase. The item comes with 2 chisels at 300mm long so i purchased a 600m long one (Deep Concrete) from another supplier as my use is to replace about 12 fence post over the next few years. On arrival I was immediately impressed with the case and the quality feel of the item in general. Even a small amount of grease is included. My unit came ready assembled just grease the chisel end and insert into the chuck. I ran the item gently to start with for it to warm up and distribute grease around the mechanics. Started with the pointed chisel and within 10 minutes one side of the post was nearly completed. This is where the 600mm chisel came in. My post have deep concrete so needed the 600mm chisel which with large SDS collet system made light work of the rest of the concrete. I then repeated this on the other side with no issues. One word of warning don't go to deep each time as the chisel will jam in the concrete and its difficult to then get the chisel back out. In conclusion I used this item with care and did not force or abuse it and it did the job with ease. One point of note little or no vibration was transmitted to my body, Nor did the handle come undone or anything else come lose. Reliability of course is to be determined but if Draper are confident enough to call it a trade item and then fit the large SDS Max collet system and then give it a 3 year warranty. (Limited Warranty) then I have no concerns.

Very good lightweight tool
A great tool for the price. I am very happy with the performance for such a lightweight tool. It does get very hot but this did not alter how well it worked.

Good performance for the money.
This machine is generally grand for what it costs and has enough power for most demolition jobs, once it's not too demanding, because then you'd likely need something meatier producing 40 joules or more. Machines that powerful usually weigh up to 20kg. This unit is rated at 25 joules and I got it for breaking up columns of breeze block that were supporting a deck. It's perfect for that as has enough grunt without being too heavy at 7kg. It gets hot, but this doesn't affect performance. I've given it 4 stars as the way the front clamp is designed is stupid. The clamp is just badly designed and has a flat bolt that is just too short to properly fit through the body of the clamp itself. I magivered mine by compressing the clamp with vice grips, so this little bolt fitted better, and I also taped up the body of the gearbox so the clamp would then secure better. This seems to work fine, but I shouldn't have to do this, just through poor design. The power lead is a little on the short side, but again I'm using this with an extension lead anyway. Nice quality case and you get your usual pointed and flat chisel heads. Once the SDS max chuck is well greased up with a bit of use it works fine. All in all a good value machine for this price, just be prepared to do your own improvements to the front clamp if you want it to work better, or it will keep coming loose from the vibration off the unit when it's running.
A**.
Just buy it
What a great piece of kit, solid blocks, brick no 100mm concrete problem and it doesn’t weigh a ton, just buy it.

The Breaker is very effective albeit at around 7 kg a heavy lift. My one complaint is that the tool despite being ordered in Germany was delivered with a British mains plug. I also found the usual builders extension roll cable sockets were too deep for my UK to German adapter. But an old French builders extension lead left over from my time in France has worked fine. Other than that a fine product that I would recommend. Due to the wrong mains plug only a 4 star rating.
