Best Value So Far!
My wife was skeptical at first when I came home overjoyed as a new convert and Sous Vide zealot after a coworker shared the gospel of Sous Vide with me as THE way to cook. I thought he was nuts. He cut a slice of his chicken. Hey, free food. Ok, I’m in. Instantly knew I needed this ability. Without trying something evenly cooked sous vide, sealing in marinades and flavor and moisture, you do not understand. She did not understand. She thought I was nuts. I HAD to show her. Hahahaha.I talked about it and then bought an expensive wand (twice the price of this one) and she instantly became a convert as well…HA! So, we were understandably heartbroken when the one that sounds like a dying star died after the warranty… after their clip broke and they sent a new holder for it.Well… We got spoiled doing Sous Vide but I didn’t want to experience that let-down again of paying so much for something to just not last... but, now we realize we just can’t do without a Sous Vide wand! I shopped around and rolled the dice on this at about half the cost of the other… Well worth it! Absolute great value and no longer a big costly barrier for folks looking to expand their cooking capabilities and improve flavor quality by getting into sous vide cooking. This is actually affordable and has worked great for the 8 months we’ve had it so far. I wanted to wait long enough to give an honest assessment, but want to put in a review that might be helpful before the holiday shopping rush. You aren’t cutting corners saving money here. We like it better because we saved so much over buying the expensive competitor model. Learn from that lesson.Chicken, steaks, shredded or cubed beef in marinades…. Easy to use- not that complicated. We just stick the meat and marinade in a ziplock, set the temp, and let it do its thing in a pot of water, then finish however we want. Soooo good.I will update my review if/when it dies, but, again, so far so good and I feel we are certainly getting our money’s worth- especially if it outlasts the needlessly costlier competition.

Good quality for an off brand.
First sous vide cook went great. Roast beef from lean cut came ot tender and rare. Will continue to use. It held temp better than expected. Quiet. Great product even though it is not a name brand. Don't hesitate on this one if it appears to meet your needs.

Worth the price, great value and saves money on food!
I give it 5 stars for value, ease of use and the outcome! I have had it for several months. I sous vide chuck roasts, ribeye, chicken, fish, veggies and pork. I follow several really good YouTube channels (Sous Vide Everything) to make sure I get time and temperatures are correct, and every time, they have come out perfectly. I use a hamburger press I purchased on Amazon to assure even searing in the pan. I use a large stock pot to Sous Vide in.I like to make everything in advance, refrigerator or freeze, and use my air fryer to heat stuff up. I no longer buy ribeyes or NY strips. Instead, mostly chuck roasts for steaks.

Piece of crap!
It worked fine for 3 months. Then it overheated to the point of catching on fire. It does not work at all now. I can’t contact anyone to get a replacement. Total waste of money. Don’t buy this product! Would rate no stars if this was possible.Follow up: The company contacted me after the initial review. They offered me a full refund. Maybe I received a lemon of a sous vide. For the price and good customer service, this one is worth a try.

Two Updates - Dead at 33 and 93 Days Old
Update Two - I ordered a second unit after receiving the account credit from the seller and the second lasted about 93 days with daily use, failing the same way as the first (the electronic temperature controller stopped sending power to the heating element). I leave it to you to determine if 90 days is a long enough life to justify purchase of this sous vide heater, but I don't think so, especially as I have another one that is well over a year old with similar use. Because of the seller's support, I feel justified in raising the rating to two stars, but do not recommend the product and do not plan to buy another myself.Update - the seller reached out to me and offered a full refund. I have accepted either a replacement or refund and will advise how this proceeds, updating the review as more information becomes available.Original Review -The sous vide heater stopped heating this afternoon after just over a month of use. Never run outside it's minimum or maximum water levels and it stopped heating today. The controls power, adjust and the circulator runs, but the controls do not power the heating element. The device was relatively easy to use, and quiet, but this one did not last and $60 for such a short life is too expensive.

Rating updated after use of device
It's easy to start, run and use in manual mode. I bought it for the Wi-Fi password function to control thru my phone. The manual was not clear on setting up the Wi-Fi but after 3 margaritas, I finally figured it out, much easier than the manual.1. You need to know your SSID and PW for your Wi-Fi.2. Your router needs to have 2.4 ghz setting3. Scan the qr code in the booklet, download the smart life app and go thru the registration.4. Open the smart life app, click the + sign top right5. Select "kitchen appliance" on the left, scroll down on the right and select "sous vide cooker"6. Enter your router Wi-Fi SSID and PW. Click next7. NOW, here's where it deviates from the manual...Plug in your sous vide AND STOP! The page will try to get you to power on, reset, etc., DON'T! Click the 3 "NEXT" icons.8. Select the "Blinking quickly" icon and it will scan for your sous vide.Once it sees it, it will add it. Click on the device (I renamed mine cuz that's what I do) and it will take you to the sous vide control settings page.I will update once I cook something with it...hope this helps with Wi-Fi setup!Made my first steaks with this sous vide cooker. They were beautiful! Perfect medium rare and fork tender. Paid for itself on the first use.
