I bought this to give me peace of mind for when I need to get stuff done around the house. Let me just say it has done great. The battery also started to die and I emailed support and they were so kind and sent me a 5 pack of batteries when. I definitely recommend this for peace of mind.

Connection:This works well only with Bluetooth connection with 1 mobile device within 7-10 ft.If you want to setup and use with the WiFi bridge for remote or multiple mobile device connections, you have to buy from the company directly for another $20. Supposedly, you can use an android mobile device as the bridge and download the monbridge app to use that mobile device solely as the WiFi bridge (this did not work for us after multiple tries with the new kindle fire we just bought).Via WiFi, it is time consuming to setup and connect EVERY time you open the app. It takes AT LEAST, if not more than, 1 min to connect. And it’s finicky, sometimes we have to power cycle the WiFi bridge to reconnect the monbaby to it.The mobile device that you use for the MonBaby to connect to has to be just for the monbaby for continuous monitoring. If you use your phone and need to switch app to look at something else, it takes a min to reconnect when you come back to the app. Just inconvenient all around.The device itself:The ring that holds the monbaby to clothing breaks quickly after 2 weeks of use. You can’t attach it to anything thick either. The orientation feature only works if your babe wears tight clothing. I do like the temperature gauge, it tells me if the babe is warm or cold under swaddle/blanket (this is ambient temp around the body only, NOT internal body temp). Though, there isn’t a good reference on what range of temp is good for this particular device under the blanket. We just used it on ourselves to get an idea of what temp is ideal/comfortable.Battery is not rechargeable for this item. A big drawback. If you connect the monbaby to the app continuously, battery will last maybe 3-4 days then you will have to change it. We have battery recycling via our pick up service so this isn’t a problem for us, but it is inconvenient. We also cannot tell when the battery is out because there’s no indication whether it’s the battery that’s out or it is the connection that’s having issues. I change the battery after having to try power cycling the WiFi or try to connect via Bluetooth to see if it’s the battery that’s out. When you have a newborn and already sleep deprived, the last thing you want to do is add another checkbox to have to keep track of.Overall: What it can do is useful but only with Bluetooth connection. Battery needs to be replaced frequently (not rechargeable). Nice to have, but not for safety since connection is finicky and alert is through the app only, which also means you will need a dedicated device to keep the app open at all times.If you are looking for something for baby safety, we do depend on the smart sock from Owlet since baby was born. It monitors baby’s heart rate & oxygen, and alerts you when something is not right. I can tell you, it works! I was breastfeeding one time and drifted off. Baby’s face was pressed on my chest and the sock alarmed via the base because he wasn’t breathing and baby was saved!!!

Update: I have gotten a few false alarm ( I got plenty with the owlet ) but the batteries run out so quick. I suppose that’s how they make the product more affordable rather recharging.I still prefer it over the owlet although it doesn’t give the stats an owlet would. I do miss thatI used an owlet for my first and I honestly prefer the Monbaby. Easier to use and I've never received a false error, plus it's half the price!The batteries only last about a week and the ring broke but they'll send you replacements for free! I'd rather replace the batteries weekly than use the owlet. Thank you so much for giving me piece of mind that my baby is safe while sleeping

Puede que no sea el dispositivo mas preciso pero en una madrugada ciando nuestro bebe de 2 semanas estaba en su cuna super dormido si sono la alarma de respiración, de lo intenso que suena desperto al bebe ¿Falsa alarma? Pensamos que es mejor que despertara al bebe a que fuera otra situación. Hasta ahora en la 6 semana todo tranquilo, no ha vuelto a sonar. Eso si, solo le dejamos encendida la alarma de respiración ya que las demas se activan de la nada. La pila nos ha durado entre 1 1/2 a 2 semanas solo usandolo por las noches, asi que tambien adquiersn unos paquetes de pilas de boton cr-2032.

Great product does exactly what it says. The support team are great as my snap ring broke so I emailed them and they quickly sent out a replacement. The only down side is there’s no way to turn the monitor off if thou pick the baby up at night so if its on the other persons phone it may alert them that the baby has no chest movement when they are just being changed

Love it.Bought for my grandson when he stays as can't use sid pads in our travel cot.It brings piece of mind. Very simple to use. App is easy to use. I can go downstairs and phone stays connected for peace of mind. I only use the movement and temperature monitor though as others kept going off when I picked baby up and that was annoying. But temperature and reassurance breathing are the important things to monitor in my humble opinion. Reassures mum as i screen shot the app stats/graph so she can see at a glance how he has slept and how often he stirred.Am needing to change batteries every 2 to 3 weeks. Is used just once a week and I turn it off via app, but batteries don't last long.

Easy to use

Busqué varias opciones y sentí que era la mejor porque no es el típico monitor de audio o video. Es fácil de usar y me gustó mucho que manda alertas al celular si mi bebé deja de respirar. Usa una batería de reloj y viene con repuesto.
