So far go good! I though it would be LEDs but they work on the Jacob ladder's principe making littles electric sparks (with probably a gas in the builb that makes them reddish), that's probably the main reason why they're not expensive since they hardly contain any components apart from the builb and two flame-shaped electrodes (those with LEDs cost about the same thing for only two) Only needed 10, 12 on the package so I have two spares, they all work now; however, one didn't, looking at it I saw that the two electrodes inside were touching each other, closing the gap between them where the spark should be, solved the problem by simply giving a gentle hit to it to separate the electrodes inside. They come in a box with several small individual boxes inside to separate them so not too much risk for transport. Dont expect to use them for lighting as they don't provide much, if any light: they are made for decorating (and do it well). Don't know how much time they'll left but I'll update here once I'll know. - - UPDATE - - ok about 13 months later, 9 out of 12 still working; since I need 10, must order again but for the price I would say it's ok. really don't last as long as LEDs, though.

Although 2 burned out quickly so far they're doing fine and pleasant to look at ! I needed a low watts bulb for a vintage light fixture and they are just right !
