"I recently purchased this matching memories card game and it has quickly become a favourite in our household. Not only is it fun and engaging, but it has also led to some very memorable conversations as my family and I play together. The game is well-designed and the cards are of high quality. Highly recommend this well thought out game for anyone looking to have a great time while also making lasting memories with loved ones!"

A little bit of magic
Playing this game has helped bring our family closer together. It’s a game that my nanna could really engage with and it was lovely to feel like we weren’t leaving her out.The conversations and memories we have shared as a result have made it easier to cope with the changes dementia continues to bring to our relationship. Highly recommend!

Good conversation starter
This is a simple set of cards with a variety of topics and questions designed to stimulate thoughts and conversations. It is primarily aimed at people with Alzheimers, but would work equally well as an ice breaker for a group that don’t know each other very well. The quality of the cards themselves is good, as is the fold-over lidded storage box. The print size is large and easy to read. I would say it is a little over-priced, but it is a lovely little set and would make a good gift.

You can equally do this with some pieces of paper. Great item, but a bit overpriced.
With dementia and Alzheimer’s, it's essential to stimulate the brain as much as possible. This card came acts as a prompt to begin conversations about the past, and to try and maintain memories. Whilst the cards are nothing more than prompts, they do give you ideas to work with. It also turns the exercise more into a game, than feeling like being questioned. They come in a nice box and the cards a laminated like playing cards.,. Triggering memories and thoughts is an important tool in helping to preserve what memory they still have. These cards are a great idea, but for the price, they are a little expensive for a simple set of prompt cards. You can equally do this with some pieces of paper. Great item, but a bit overpriced.

A good conversation starter for people with dementia
These cards come in a smart cardboard box with a magnetically closed lift up lid, so it is easy to get to the cards and close them away neatly after use. There are two packs of cards inside (blue and yellow) and a leaflet containing four suggested game play ideas, two for two people and two for bigger groups. The cards are smart and made of good quality cardboard. They are bigger than those in a standard set of playing cards, with simple pictures illustrating subjects and writing of a reasonable size and easy to read font. The suggested games are games in the loosest sense; they are really just ways to get people talking about different subjects. For each subject there are two questions, which tend to be fairly open-ended or at least to encourage further discussion of the subject. There is a good variety of subjects (sports, hobbies etc), and the games are structured so that if a subject is not really relevant to a particular person you can generally move on to something else. There should be topics here that anyone can talk about. This is a good way to generate conversations for people with dementia.
