No Greater Love

Manual how to love
I have read many spiritual books and this is my favorite. If you are in the path of truly wanting to walk your faith and prove your love of Christ, this book will get you there. It is direct and to the point. Every sentence is pointed without fluff. Mother Theresa explains what prayer, love, humility and charity means how how to achieve living and practice Christ teachings.I would read one sentence or paragraph and stop to mediate upon it to truly grasp its full message and meaning. Prayer requires silence of mind and heart to hear God because He speaks in silence. It takes tremendous amount of discipline to be silent and the only time I am able to quiet my mind and heart is during adoration. How you pray requires humility and love to be worthy of God. You can't FAKE with God. There is no shortcut. He asks us to strive for perfection and perfection isn't easy nor quick. It takes discipline and persistence. The path to holiness and sainthood which all of us are called to be is life long exercise. None of us, not even Mother Theresa are perfect or be able to achieve it excluding Virgin Mother which is humbling. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. St Mother Theresa, pray for us.No Greater Love is an easy read. Inspirational. Difficult to put into practice but not impossible with God.

Opinion of a nonchirstian person
When reading this book two things come to mind:1. Mother Teresa knew. She knew love, she knew Christ, she knew service2. There is a strong influence from the church in her writing. As a person who doesnโt follow the church but loves God, I was discouraged to feel the influence of the church in Mother Teresa writing. Her ideas seem to reflect sometimes what the religions teach to keep the masses controlled. Yet underneath it all, you can also feel she was a being beyond all the nonsense. She knew what it meant to be of service and delivered love. She had to move within the frame of the church but ultimately gave her love and service and teaching. There is a lot to learn from her words if you are willing to look deeper into their meaning

A Beautiful Book that Could Change the World
"I comfort Jesus in the distressing disguise of the poor." ~ Mother TeresaThere are a few books that could change the world if enough people read them and this is one of them. I have rarely been so touched by a book and I found myself crying at times because the message in this book is so amazingly beautiful. It is probably impossible to completely emulate Mother Teresa. She was so selfless in her interactions with the poorest of the poor. And yet by reading this book you may be convinced to do something big or small to help the world."No Greater Love" is a book to treasure and to read again and again. It is truly one of the most inspirational books I've ever read. Reading this book is truly an expansive experience. Mother Teresa's words of love fill your own heart with love that you can then share with others. In all my years of attending church I can't remember anyone teaching me to pray the way Mother Teresa does in her first chapter. She then also speaks about giving, being holy, working to help the poor, forgiveness, children, suffering and death. She lovingly explores each topic while making it clear that she is serving Christ in all his distressing disguises.I think that reading this book could really change your life. You don't have to run off to become a nun to change the world. You can support The Missionaries of Charity by writing to 164 Milagra Drive, Pacifica, CA 94044.~The Rebecca Review

Lots of Mother Teresa stories and quotes
This book is comprised of chapters of different traits like prayer and charity. She includes stories of her work with the poor and reflects on Christian/Catholic theology in practical terms. Best book for those looking to develop a relationship with God and who are stuck trying to figure out why we are here.

Breathtaking
Honestly, amazing. Iโm not catholic and I know very little about the catholic faith. I love Jesus with my whole heart and came across a few quotes by Mother Teresa that were beautiful. I instantly got on Amazon to see what I could find out about her. This book blew me away. Her love for Jesus and for people are inspiring. Even if youโre not catholic, please read anyway. I canโt put it down. You will walk away feeling like you need to do more for Jesus. You will want to serve others and also love within your own household. I hope this finds you well.

Very good.
This is an excellent book that talks about many different aspects of a spiritual life. Mother Teresa writes in a very simple and understandable way to walk you through her very simple path to God. She emphasizes actions as a way of showing love and getting closer to God, but not actions within themselves. It's a connection with God which made her able to live in such conditions and work with those whom everyone else rejecting and whom she knew would probably die. And when she obeyed God and did what he asked, she became closer to him. This book does not tell you to drop everything and work with the poorest of the poor, that was her calling and not necessarily yours, but to drop everything and to give it all to God. She sees Jesus in every person so she can't help but put them before herself. The last chapter is a short interview with her and was quite insightful as well.

Truly inspirational read
A life of love, dedication and service. Fully committed to her mission. Not looking for anything in return.Very emotional stories of conversion and of touch by an unexpected love by the destitute.A reminder of what is possible in the dark parts of our world with unconditional love.Read it and be awed and inspired.

A women to be admired
I was pleasantely surprised that this book contains quotes, interviews and writtings from Mother Teresa herself and not someone else's account of her life. This book is truly inspiring. There are many profound messages in this book. My personal favorite is the message regarding "freedom from self". Once you stop worrying about yourself, you may be able to dedicate yourself to God and others. This is a refreshing message in a society where everything is about me, myself and I. There is also a wonderful chapter on prayers and giving.Mother Teresa is a great example of a true follower of Christ. We can certainly learn a lot from her example.
