Works well, just with one quick modification
While the new Apple Pencil Pro has a strong magnet, the older Apple Pencil 2 for my old iPad is so weak that I constantly knock it off. Sometimes, I lose it for days. This Dracool Apple Pencil holder looked like the best option to me for use with my Apple Magic Keyboard, and I like it, but with one caveat: I found the tab for pushing and prying the pencil out of the holder NOT effortless to use. I agree with other reviewers, it was a 2-handed operation. So, I took a look at how my Zugu iPad case works - a fantastic case, but not used with a keyboard. It holds the pencil securely, while still letting you grab it without resistance. Based on that design, I picked up a pair of scissors, mustered some guts, and, in 2 seconds, snipped off the silly tab that was supposed to push the pencil out. Phew, it worked. You can see my modification in my photo. The pencil holder works perfectly for me now. I can grab my pencil one-handed and have not experienced any downside from my modification.

Great device for keeping your Apple Pencil attached to your iPad
This product works great for keeping my Apple Pencil safe when it's attached to my iPad. There were times when my Apple Pencil would get knocked off when I have my iPad in my backpack and sometimes while carrying it. There are some other Apple Pencil holders that required you to use 3M tape to attach it to the back side of your case. I did not want to use that method because when you decide to take it off, it will peel the finish off of your case. This one just slides in between the iPad and the case. I tried it on several of my iPads. It works on my iPad Mini 5 using the Apple Slim case, iPad Pro 11, and iPad Pro 12.9 M1. It magnetizes to the back of the iPad on all 3 of those devices when I remove it from the case. I tried it on the new iPad Pro 13 M4. It'll work, but when you remove the iPad from the keyboard case it falls off. The magnets for the new iPad are in a different location than previous iPads. They included stickers that you can use to tape it in place for those models. I also like that I'm still able to charge my Apple Pencil while using this product. Overall, I'm liking this purchase.

Get all the peace of mind you hoped for. But do the easy fix.IX
I gave this 5 stars. But I should maybe take a 1/2 a star away. I feel very confident now. Then my Apple pen will not fall out of the holder. When in the correct position is extremely secure. You have to release the pen with a button that pushes the pen out. Having said that the device is only held in with magnetism and an be bumped. This angles the device away from the magic keyboard and the pen is vulnerable to falling out. This however could be remedied by using good quality 3M Double sided tape to lock The holder to the Magic keyboard or tablet more securely. It's an easy fix and once done I will have great peace of mind. Without it I could barely enjoy having a pen. I was forever losing track of it. This has to be one of most solid feeling pencil grips while still allowing for easy convenient removal and keeps the pen fully charged at all times. .

A solid accessory for your iPad mini pen!
Such an easy install and works perfectly. At first, my concern was the insert would prevent my iPad mini from catching on to the corners, but it did and it’s an excellent one holder! Even stays on without the case and I have third party keyboard case. Pretty sure it’ll work for other cases with no problems also.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly What the Magic Keyboard Is Missing
As a 47-year-old professional who uses my iPad Pro daily—for work, travel, and everything in between—this pencil holder is one of those “why didn’t this exist sooner?” accessories. If you use the Magic Keyboard, you already know the biggest flaw: there’s no secure place to store the Apple Pencil. Toss it in a bag and it’s guaranteed to get knocked loose, lost, or drained. This holder completely solves that problem. It attaches cleanly, holds the Pencil securely, and still lets me use the Magic Keyboard exactly as intended. The Pencil stays put when traveling, but it’s also easy to grab when I need it—no fumbling around in a bag or worrying if I left it behind. Installation was simple and intuitive, and it feels sturdy without adding bulk. I love that I can finally carry my iPad and Pencil together as one functional setup, especially when I’m on the go. If you rely on your iPad Pro for real work and want the convenience of the Magic Keyboard without sacrificing Pencil security, this is absolutely worth it. Five stars from me—this accessory solved a very real, everyday problem.

Too difficult to remove due to flap. Better alternatives available
I purchased 5 different Apple Pencil holder for my Logitech Combo Touch 12.9 inch 5th/6th generation iPad Pro case. Since Logitech is too lazy to improve their product this is a necessity so you do not lose your Apple Pencil. I purchased: Spigen for Apple Pencil Pro Holder, 2nd Gen, Lenovo Yoga Pen, Galaxy S Pen, Compatible with Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard, Smart Folio, Remarkable 2 and Other Magnetic iPad Cases, White elago Metal Holder Compatible with Apple Pencil Series (USB-C, Pro, 2nd Generation), Compatible with Apple Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard Folio and Other Magnetic Cases for iPad Dracool for Apple Pencil Pro/Apple Pencil 2nd Generation Pencil Holder Compatible with Magic Keyboard, Smart Folio, and Other Magnetic Cases for iPad Pencil Case 6.53 inch - White MOFT Pencil Holder for Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil 2nd Generation, Compatible with Magic Keyboard, MOFT Dynamic Folio & Float Folio for iPad OFA Pencil Holder Case Compatible with Apple Pencil 1st/2nd/Pro, Functional, Foldable, Built-in Magnetics Cover Accessories, Apple iPad Pencil 2nd / Pro Wireless Charging, Charcoal Gray The OFA is slow to remove in and out, and must be placed back in just perfectly to allow charging while in the sleeve. The Dracool is the only one that comes with adhesive. However it is the most difficult to actually remove the pencil from. The flexible flap is not very flexible. The Spigen is a bit better as it has an open port, but it still difficult to grab the pencil from. This is because you cannot grasp the pencil immediately after pushing through the opening, because again there is the thin material on the front of the port. The Elago doesn’t have this problem as its has an open section, allowing you to remove the pencil with you index finger and grasp with your thumb. The MOFT is similar to the Elago, however its open section is easier to grasp from as it begins farther back on the product. Basically it has a deeper open section. All these products are VERY similar but to me, the MOFT wins. It’s easiest to get the pencil in and out from. The nicest build quality is the Elago. They all should come with adhesive like the Dracool one. While they are all magnetic to varying degrees (elago being most magnetic), it is not sufficient to prevent movement. A few were removable very easily, to the point they would slide out. I can’t remember exactly which ones right now. Anyway, figured I’d share.

Good purchase
I use a Logtech case and its able to slip into the side and keep my apple pencil securely attached to my iPad. Happy with it. It feels solid and metallic(and pretty magnetic). Not flimsy.
