Kelo-cote Advanced Formula Scar Gel, 10 Gram

I used this gel after a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and I think a lot of the negative reviews are based on the wrong expectations. This is not a regular cream that absorbs instantly. It has a slightly sticky texture at first because it creates a protective layer over the scar. That’s actually important for healing. Also, this is not an instant-result product. It doesn’t “remove” scars overnight. Its purpose is to support proper healing and help prevent the scar from becoming raised or more noticeable over time. Another important factor is the surgeon’s technique. No product can fix a poorly done procedure, so that plays a big role in the final result. In my experience, using it consistently made a difference. The scar became less red, smoother, and less visible as it healed. If you understand what this product is meant to do and use it correctly, it’s worth it.

Kelo-cote Advanced Formula is absolutely amazing because of how fast ( 1 week using it) it begins to noticeably start making skin tone even as well as making skin surface even. Four weeks ago I got a second degree burn from burning water. The burn covered all the area above and across my knee ( 8" x 6") not a small area. The burn healed and I started applying Kelo-cote to it. Two times daily. I also apply Petroleum Jelly on top to keep area moisture retention. After 1 week of applications, my skin is recovering wonderfully fast. The area Is of light pink tone ( looks like light sunburn )and the scars are almost not visible.

Recommended by my dermatologist. Works beautifully!

Works great. I was always skeptical of these "scar treatment gels" for a long time, but I finally caved into this product after reading some reviews. I had a keloid scar on my face as the aftermath of a large cystic acne. I squeezed and messed with it very harshly, as I was frustrated, but NEVER pick at these spots (easier to give this advice then take :)) For months, I thought this scar was simply the cystic acne not healing as I understand sometimes these cystic bumps just don't go away for months. But, it was a keloid/hypertrophic scar. This gel has flattened the scar. There's still some hyperpigmentation, but I never intended on using this gel for pigment issues (I'll continue my routine of using retinoids, vit c, other actives for pigmentation issues). It does dry a bit tacky, so if you're using this for your face, it may be tricky to use under makeup (I just avoided using make up on that area for a while). Also, it was a bit tricky for me to incorporate in my skincare routine as I was using this on my face. If it were on my body or elsewhere, I would just apply it on clean dry skin as they instructed. But, this is how I used it on my face (just my personal way - you should just follow their directions): After washing my face, I would apply my actives and moisturize (everywhere on my face including the scar area). Then I would wait a bit (~5 minutes) for everything to settle, and then I would take a tissue and blot the scar area so that there are no oils there. Then I would apply a very thin layer of kelo-cote. I wasn't completely sure on their instructions. I believe they want you to wash the scar area, dry, and then apply the kelo cote directly on the clean skin. However, for me, being a skincare fanatic, I couldn't let go of my actives nor moisturizers, so I would just blot afterwards. (Again, please follow their instructions and not mine). A couple of things to note. My scar was again from cystic acne and it was around 6 months old. I saw initial results within a week. I have not tried this on older larger scars, so I cannot say much on other types of scars. This will NOT work for indented acne scars (ice pick, rolling, etc.); this will only work for RAISED scars.
