After trying a few different brands and styles, I landed on the Reebok Work Duty Rapid Response RB8694, and they've become my workday warriors.From the moment I first laced (or, more accurately, zipped) these up, I knew they were different. They felt surprisingly lightweight for a tactical boot, and the fit was immediately comfortable. The extra-wide composite toe is a lifesaver; it provides the necessary protection without feeling cramped or heavy like traditional steel toes. Knowing they offer electrical hazard protection adds another layer of confidence when I'm on the job.The real game-changer for long hours is the comfort system. The removable Foot Force F2A cushioned insert is fantastic – it provides support and absorbs impact, making a huge difference in reducing fatigue by the end of the day. The combination of durable leather and ballistic nylon for the upper has held up incredibly well to daily wear and tear, and the rubber sole provides excellent traction on various surfaces.And the side zipper? Pure genius. Getting these boots on and off at the start and end of a long shift is quick and easy, saving precious minutes and effort. Once zipped and laced, they feel secure and supportive around my ankles.These boots have significantly improved my comfort and confidence on the job. I didn't pay attention that I was ordering the safety-toe version of this boot. I would NOT have chosen that because I don't really need it. They have a composite-toe construction, not steel toe. This is not my first pair of safety toe boots so I understand that they don't flex as well as the non safety models. That makes them a little stiff. Also, the pull loop is a little small for my finger to easily slip into when I need a little help pulling on my boots. Otherwise, I am very happy with these boots in the first month of wear. I have been wearing them for a few hours a day, slowly breaking them in. The boots are not waterproof but I ALWAYS spray waterproofing on my fabric and suede shoes and boots before wearing them. Also, the weatherproofing helps to keep them clean. So far, the traction seems good but I have not tried them while on a wet, slick floor. I will never buy another pair of tactical, hunting, or work boots with lots of padding without the zipper. I also have a pair of UnderArmor tactical boots with the zip side but these are superior. The zipper works great and there is a leather tab with velcro strip to cover the zipper at its highest point. I may add pictures of the insole and the foot bed later. The Reebok website describes the boots as follows: "The EVA midsole, embedded Shock Eliminator heel cushion, and Foot Force® F2A footbed work together to provide all-day cushioning and comfort." I cannot argue with that. I was pleasantly surprised about the heel cushion and the footbed cushioning. Overall, I think the boot is a good looking boot that goes well with khaki shorts and long pants. I would have preferred a little darker khaki, but for the most part these are some good looking boots. Just remember to condition them with suede cleaner and conditioner from time to time and of course, spray them with several coats of waterproofing.

Sized right. Comfortable from the beginning. Time will tell on durability, but a month in I believe quality to be very good.

I bought half a size down from my normal regular size and the toe cap rubbed my toes so it was refunded and exchange for half a size bigger. Now the boot has too much room in it and my foot slides around causing immense foot pain in the small bony areas. I’m very much tempted to stuff the boot with brown paper towels. The manufacturer has also went cheap on the insoles which used to be very plush when Converse had the contract and when Reebok took over having the boot made in China, they cut enough costs to provide a very plush insole. Unfortunately, now I’ll have to improvise with a better insole and reduce the sliding roominess.
