Benro Digital T-800EX Video/Photo Tripod

My primary camera is the Blackmagic Pocket 4K. It's generally fully rigged out with a SmallRig cage, rod support, dovetail, follow focus, lens support, DZOFilm 20-70 lens, swing away matte box, 7in monitor and v mount battery. In this configuration, I use my Sachtler tripod but there are times when I need to be lighter and faster. That's when I grab this little bad boy and I'm very pleased. I can't fully rig out my camera like I'm used to doing but I can still put a good deal on it before I get to the maximum load. If it had just a few more bells and whistles, I would absolutely sing it's praises such as adjustable counter balance and snap locks for the legs for faster set up. My Flowtech 75 sets up in less than half the time but it's too much of a beast to take on hikes like this tripod.

I love the weight of this tripod, that part I'd even give 5 stars. But, I do film a lot of video and if it is at all windy, the footage comes out very shakey because of this tripod. As a filmmaker, that's tough because it will ruin the shot, and if I'm outside, which I am a lot, that's not good. You can't always shoot in little to no wind, but that being said, I have lugged many heavier tripods around the world, and this one was great. Just keep in mind, if it's windy, and you shoot video, it will not come out as stable footage. Just FYI, but if you are a photographer and have great conditions, this is a fantastic tripod.

Very nice pro level tripod. Like others one must be careful, the plate has to come down to tighten the thumb screw. Works great with a Black Magic Cinema 4k, no complaints. Nice sturdy roadworthy case too.

Lightweight, easy to transport and deploy. Great for a starter video shooter, or any videographer trying to keep a lightweight ‘run and gun’ kit such as hikers and realtors. Purchased for news related mobile live stand-up usage.

I like this tripod for being very sturdy and compact. It is just what I needed.

Silver looks better than black version. Very Solid and works great. Like it.
