Love it, love it, love it. As someone who cooks a lot I can tell you this product is very useful and necessary in every kitchen. Works better than I imagined. I used to freeze or refrigerate my broths and sauces, this does the fat removal trick right away. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store.I have a feeling this will wind up being one of my most frequently used gadget favorites.

Five stars for the separator/1.5 stars for masher that arrived with what looked like road rash. Really wanted to love this. The design itself is great for the separator and not the greatest for the masher. The separator is easy to take apart, wash in the dishwasher and reassembled easily. The masher, though not used was run through the washer twice and the black spot nor indentations still will not come off. I’m sending it back. The ball handle fits well in the hand, but the handle collects water from the washer, so you may want to wash yours by hand, as bacteria will grow in there otherwise then drip onto your food the next time you use it. I also think it should be taller for a deeper pot of potatoes, most of my mashers are at least 4 inches taller.Not sure about the durability.

The button to let out the liquid didn't work, it was stuck.

The masher seems to work as well as any other type of mashing tool. The separator seems OK....I've only used it a couple of times. It's been through the dishwasher and came out fine.

broke first use

I'm very excited to use this fat separator and nifty potato masher. They both look very well constructed - and they match and coordinate! I will be using it mostly for salad dressings, but I'm looking forward to using it for mashed potatoes with gravy, and my personal favorite, A well-known Canadian dish, poutine, as well! Great set!

Bigger than I wanted or needed.

I haven’t used the potato masher yet. I bought the set for the gravy separator, which was so easy to use and worked like a charm. Even after using Dawn liquid and running it through the dishwasher , a greasy film remains. I can live with that .
