I bought these replacement ear seals for my RA200 aviation headset, and they made a huge difference in comfort. The stock ear pads on the RA200 were usable, but after longer flight sessions they would start to feel uncomfortable. These gel ear seals completely improved that experience. The silicone gel padding feels much softer and creates a better seal around the ears, which also helps improve passive noise reduction in the cockpit. They fit the RA200 surprisingly well and made the headset feel much more premium overall. Installation was easy, and after upgrading to these I can wear the headset for much longer without discomfort. If you own an RA200 headset, I would highly recommend these as a comfort upgrade.

Super comfortable compared with the original foam ones (RA200) and especially with the addition of cotton ear covers. A bit tricky to install but once on, great improvement. Thicker than the originals so maybe I will consider adjusting the metal band if not improved in few weeks.

You gotta really finesse 'em (read 'stretch'!) To get them on your David Clarks, but once they're on, they stay on and are pretty comfy.

I have two 10 year SoftComm headsets that I normally use for passengers that need a headset. On one of those, the ear cups finally gave and needed replaced. I chose these to replace them based partly on the many reviews about how hard they are to put on, figuring that if they were hard to put on, they would not just pop off. I did find it a slight challenge to put them on, it took about 5 minutes to install both sides. I wore this old headset with the new ear cups for a 2 and half hour flight after forgetting to put my nice, comfortable, Lightspeed headset in my flight bag. Here are my pros and cons for these cups based on the experience from that flight: Pros: * Quality very good quality for the price point. * These fit my heatset great, once I figured out the trick to getting them installed * While the SoftComms can sometimes feel like a vice, the gel cups seemed to help reduce the pressure (to a point). I found these to be more comfortable than the original ear cups. Cons: * Noise reduction was not as good with these as the original "pleather" ear cups. * In a hot airplane, the sweaty, slimy feeling of the smooth plastic shell builds over time. It can be kinda gross, actually. But at least you can clean them with a wipe down between uses. Before deciding to buy a set of replacement ear cups, consider how you are using your headset before making a choice. How often will the headset be used? How long will you wear it for each use? What is the weather predominantly like when you fly? These are all questions to ask, because in the end, the goal is to get the proper balance of noise reduction and comfort. These did the job, and I think if I was still a student pilot, or only using the headset for an hour or so at a time, these ear cups would be a great choice. But in hot temperatures, and for longer flights, there may be better options. If you are already familiar will gel ear cups and like them, then you will probably like these, and I don't think you will be dissappointed with the quality. Honestly, at the end of the 2 and half hour flight, I was ready to get the headset off my head, but I think much of that is due to my being spoiled by the light speeds. When the ear cups need replaced on my second SoftComm headset, I will probably replace those with leather ear cups instead of these, but that is not because these are bad ear cups, its because I think a leather ear cup it better suited to the way I use the headset.

These gel seals are exactly what I needed to replace the cheap foam seals on the Kore Aviation KA-1 Headset that I use. The seals that come with the KA-1 headset are downright sad. My head would start hurting before I even left the ground. With these gel seals, I just went on a 1.5hr flight and (I know it's cliche) forgot the headset was even on my head! Aside from the comfort aspect, these seals covered my ears more completely, which makes a lot of difference for a PNR headset like the KA-1. The engine noise was greatly reduced, which is an obvious plus. AS FOR INSTALLATION: In all honesty, I almost docked multiple stars for this, but I waited until I tried them out before I docked stars. Sure enough, after using these, I came to reason that it is likely that most gel seals (David Clark, ASA, etc) likely have the same problem. A necessary evil. My advice is to watch the video once, but then close it. Watching it more than once will just make you madder that it is so easy for the guy in the video to do it but your fingers are raw from trying for hours... not saying that happened to me. I would highly recommend these cups to anyone who needs more cushioning and a more complete seal around the ear for their aviation headsets.

I bought these to replace the pads on one of my headsets that basically degraded over time. I wasn’t really sure how they would work, but it was a cheaper option than a new headset. They went on with a little bit of effort, fit correctly, and are very comfortable. Grateful I found these.

I am sensitive to noise when I'm trying to concentrate, so I need to wear ear muffs for long periods (on top of earplugs, no less), plus I wear glasses. Even without glasses, standard ear muffs cause pain within a short time. I bought these gel replacements as an experiment for my Peltor ear muffs. They worked out so well that I immediately bought a second pair, and I am about to order a third because my son has the same noise sensitivity. He noticed the difference with these immediately. For the X4A (pictured), you can snap out one base (black), which reveals a second base (white). For my other pair (bulkier, maybe Optime or X2, not sure), I cut the old foam and thin plastic base. I carefully cut the flap from the Kore seals, but you don't have to. Then, superglue the gel seals to the base, and you are done. These gel seals are way more comfortable than the standard foam ones, they block out more noise, and you can buy three pairs of these for the cost of a 3M pair. Highly recommended. Also, the seller was pro-active, which was great when my first order was returned because of a rain storm.

I replaced the worn ear seal on my electronic ear protectors. I used gasket maker to glue them one (I would have used Silicone sealant but the gasket maker was open and I didn't want to open the large tube of silicone). They are soft and comfortable. They also seal better around safety glasses. I mow for hours at a time and the silicone ear seals are a 1000% improvement over the the somewhat hard plastic seals. I will buy these again for the next set of ear protection that needs the ear seals replaced - wished I would have thought about silicone ear seals when my chainsaw helmet needed the ear seals replaced. I also received a thank you email from the company's owner for my purchase.
