Why did you choose this product over others?:We live in an extremely hard water area with excessive limescale (pre water softner). These blocks last us a month and help to soften the water effectively -new taps/showed heads have no limescale (been using for several months). Will continue to use this item.

Works with my Kinetico softener

Works perfectly well and it's cheaper than other brands!

I have a lightly hard water supply, so every year or few years is enough for me to drop salt in the attic tank. I don't have a commercial gadget to treat the water. This will defurr the pipes.The box arrived promptly and the delivery driver waited at the door to ask if I needed help carrying it inside the house. I didn't but thanked him. Delivery to Ireland was free only because I bought books as well to push the price over Amazon's limit. The books arrived separately.No damage to the box or pack, but as you can see, the contents had been broken in transit. This does not concern me as I would break the salt block anyway. I dropped one of the large pieces in the tank and within a couple of days the hot taps were salty to taste.Note: you don't drink briny water, I was just testing. You don't water plants with it either. The cold tap is from outside the house and for drinking.I have sealed up the pack and box again and the remainder will be used on later occasions. If you don't need much salt this is a good method. Those who use a lot might look at bulkier buys.

OK, but some of the blocks were damaged with chips or larger pieces broken off. Still usable, but other suppliers I have used the blocks have been undamaged.

Excellent value and works well with my Kinetico water softner

Unbelievably this does not fit new style BWT Perla Silk softeners and yes I’ve tried the salt block both ways. Rival brands fit, normally buy Kinetico salt, but brought BWT salt for speed on prime. The other salt block arrived damaged but tbf you get that with most brands.Design of Perla Silk softener is not very good either with the plastic salt block guide becoming stuck half out of the softener as the last of the previous blocks fell out the bottom with the new block wedged in the top. In the end I had to pull out the whole softner from the cupboard.
