So far I love this retractable hose reel. I dug the hole on Friday and installed the post on Saturday morning. The reel arrive Sunday and I had it installed a few hours later. I needed to added a leader hose and a quick release fitting because I need to move over the path between the water source and the hose reel. I added a hook in the back to hold the leader hose. It was easy to install. I installed a 4"x6" post because I was led to believe that the installation bracket would not install on a 4"x4" post (which is actually 3.5" x 3.5"). I placed the bracket onto the 4" side and the bracket CAN be installed there. The bracket and the post are the same width and the hole placement will secure the bracket to a 4" post. I found the instructions odd. It has note to install the bracket HORIZONTALLY but they mean VERTICALLY. The hose reel pulls out and retracts well. The sprayer offers a lot of good spray patterns. The only odd thing from what I'm used to is that the Off position is with the thumb switch full up; down is the ON position. I chose black as it fit my backyard better than would white. It also comes with a cover The handle will help when I move it to the garage when the weather turns cold. It also comes with a cover which I'm not sure I'll use, but it's a nice touch. I'm happy with this Hozereel 5/8" x 100 ft product.

Best hose ever! This was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! We mounted it on a 4x4, 8’ wooden post and added a paint hook and hanging plant because hose is in front of our garage. It works so well. I’m older with shoulder problems so the ease of pulling the hose out along with the swivel action of the holder has been great! I used to dread watering my flowers or really anything that involved dragging the hose out but now it’s not such a chore. And you just pop it off the mounting hook to take in for winter! Highly recommend!!!

Got tired of rolling up my hoses. These were very easy to mount and easy to use. The hose length is perfect for our yard. The build quality looks great and should last a long time.

You will need a masonry 12mm drill bit and of course a hammer drill to install…I have a ton of masonry drill bits…12mm is not one and do you know how hard it is to find one locally? Impossible ! If I’d had know I would have ordered a different product! I installed it today after receiving the 12mm drill bit…I did like the fact they include the template with tape backing for drilling the holes. I have brick with cinder block behind that at the level I installed. I loved it after I installed it, watered the plants on my deck and flagstone patio. A couple hours later I showed it to my wife and water started dripping out of the hosing onto my patio. Wow, I mean a lot of water…water source was turned off a couple of hours before. I then checked the product site and you are supposed to extend the house the entire length, take off the nosel off the hose and let it drain before letting the hose return to the housing! Every time!!! I used 20 feet of the 105 feet of hose and the mfg says you need to extend the hose 105 feet, every time you use it, remote the nosel, and let it drain before letting the hose return to the housing…are you mucking kidding me? This is BS! Screw this company and their hard to acquire 12mm masonry bit! Returning it tomorrow and figuring out how to fill the holes I’ve drilled into the brick of my home! This product gets my full fledge BS rating!!! Run away from this crap!

The 5/8" x 100 ft Heavy Duty Retractable Garden Hose Reel by HOZEREEL is, on the whole, a sturdy and dependable addition to any outdoor setup, especially once it’s mounted properly. The build feels robust, and the hose length offers excellent reach for larger yards or more complex watering needs. In day-to-day use it performs smoothly, with the retractable mechanism generally working well—though there are occasional moments when it stops just short of fully retracting. A quick tug usually resets the mechanism and allows it to wind back in without trouble. Remains clean. Maintains great pressure. Decent value. Despite that minor quirk, it remains a highly practical and well-constructed tool that makes outdoor maintenance noticeably easier and more organized.

Hozereel works great and looks great. Reels in and out easily, and comes with a quality nozzle. Quality Unit. I decided not to drill holes in my house siding to mount this though. Instead I mounted the Hozereel on a 6X6 green treated post secured in fast dry concrete, and then applied 2 coats of white stain sealer, and a black metal cap on top.

I noticed I have newer version. Where my hose comes out the bottom of unit. So you don’t have to worry about kinking the hose against the wall. I mounted mine on concrete block home using a 1/2 inch masonry drill bit. Unit also comes with all the hardware needed to mount on wood or masonry. There’s a small locking screw that can be used to lock reel onto mount. Hose reel cover also included. Awesome product.

This solidly built hose real works well. The recoil mechanism preforms as you would expect and the nozzle has plenty of choices to fit your needs from watering flowers to washing the deck. The real contains plenty of garden hose to reach out to water trees.

Packaging is fine but the product leaks am have a tough time returning it
