Earlybird Kindergarten Mathematics Textbook B (Standards Edition)

Great for my 5.5 year homeschooler
I purchased Textbook B b/c A sounded a bit easy for her; I feel like it was the right choice. I haven't purchased anything else from Singapore b/c I don't feel I need anything else for now. This is basically a workbook that systematically goes through the different skills needed to graduate to the next level of difficulty. I don't know if my girl is just more gifted in this area than I am, but she's making all sorts of connections/devising accurate mental shortcuts on her own, and it seems to me like it has at least in part to do with the order and way in which the material is presented in this book. What sold me to this system is that mathematically-inclined folks say it approaches math in a way that helps the child grow to love and deeply understand math, an approach that every child deserves. I never learned in this way and am so excited to (hopefully) be giving her this opportunity instead of passing along my math anxiety. She loves the math games that periodically show up, loves the illustrations. It is written for a teacher with multiple students so we have to skip/modify the instructions, but that hasn't gotten in the way for us.

Colorful, Well Written, Engaging!
I chose this book to use for our Kindergarten curriculum for our homeschooled 5 year old. After reviewing Earlybird A, I chose to start him on book B as it seemed he had probably mastered all the concepts in Book A. We are about 1/2 way through the book in just one month, and I'm wondering if I should have bought the first grade book instead. This book does a great job getting kids to understand groups of 10, subtraction, addition, very simple word problems, counting, etc. It also covers monetary value, calendars, and time to the hour. If your child already knows these things, skip to the 1A book. Even though he has already mastered most of this, it holds his attention well, it engages him to participate with manipulatives, and it's never left him frustrated. We'll use it again for our next child!

great kindergarten level book
I have successfully used the singapore math series books with two children starting with these K-level books at age 3 and a half/4. Fabulous illustration, brief lessons make for comfortable and engaging pace of learning. However note, that once the basic concepts are learned from the book, you need o supplement in order to have the learnings solidified. And no need to go overboard because the concepts will be reviewed again in the 1-level set.

Fun and good for teaching math
My daughter loves this book. We've been having a lot of fun. Almost through and she's learning addition, subtraction, ones column and tens column really well. She's 5 and started off in this book for math

Very good math book
This is an excellent book for children. It's easy to understand, fun to work on, and it methodically teaches and practices new math skills and knowledge. My daughter and I love it. The kindergarten B book is generally understood to be about 1st-grade level math in American schools.

Very interesting book
The exercises and the methods are very near from the French researches in maths learning (ERMEL, Dehaenne...). Very useful but a bit of too many exercises for only one lesson. May be more manipulations are needed before the form filling.

Straightforward, teaches the basics
I'm using this to supplement the math that my son gets in school. Unlike the other major math textbooks for young kids that I've looked at, this one progresses in a really straightforward way and doesn't jump around from topic to topic. I'm a fan.

Okay
My child's small moor skills are not as advanced as his intellectual, so a lot of excercises became frustrating as he knew the answer, but could not quickly out it down. Maybe it is fine for other kids, but didn't work for us.
