### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Charging is dated, but otherwise great.

I just wanted to keep my phone out of my room. Less contact the better, since it's such an issue. This works great for that. I set it to use 24h time instead of 12h because otherwise it's a bit tricky to tell AM/PM is correct for the alarm. Not too upset with some shortcomings of the UX; it all behaves more or less. Nothing mysterious. Charging is dumb, end of story. FYI it lasts 5 days or so. It's a wall charger attached to a little dock with two prongs that contact the puck. A very gentle setup. Just give me a direct connection to the puck. That way I could at least have it charging and still use it. We also have an unnecessary unreplaceable lithium battery to contend with. This could have been made accessible or standardized with an 18650 battery like any reasonably technically literate design. The vibration settings I thought would be too intense but it's actually really nice. I prefer to not use music/tones to wake up, so if this didn't work out I would have returned it. The brightness is adjusted by a wheel, and goes from blackout all the way to "so bright my eyes burn" at night. I noticed some reviewers say the screen is hard to read through the mesh, but I don't see how this is the case, personally. Alarm tones are not my thing, but I'd argue the ones provided are pretty garbage anyways. There's a few; a couple regular alarm tones, and a couple nature noises. Clearly this device isn't intended to be pleasant, it's intended to be loud and effective. My gripes aside, it does what I want it to do! Hopefully they help you decide.
